The appointment rank will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The appointee will commence as soon as possible for one year. This leadership position oversees bereavement care for Tai Po Fire victims and may require irregular hours. A fractional or part-time role may be available for outstanding candidates. Qualifications and Requirements Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Behavioral Health, Public Health, Mental Health, or a related discipline, with at least 5 years’ work experience in clinical practice and teaching or research. Preference will be given to candidates who have a proven track record of excellence in teaching and demonstrated administrative experience. The ideal candidate must possess excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Duties Manage and coordinate the training programmes of the project; Offer training to professionals on bereavement care and psychosocial topics; Supervise two Research Assistants in conducting evaluative studies; Fulfil any ancillary activities assigned by the Project Director. The Faculty of Health, Innovation, Technology and Science are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to work on a two-year research programme on hydration and health. The successful candidate will work alongside Professor Neil Walsh and his team on an industry-funded research programme extending recently published work. You will be expected to assist in all aspects of the programme of work, including: study design; ethical approval; the day-to-day running and administration of the research project; the implementation of interventions; assisting in the collection and interpretation of data; and the production of technical reports and manuscripts for publication. You will hold a good honours degree (First or 2.1) in a relevant subject area e.g., nutrition, human physiology, health psychology, exercise science. Experience of conducting high quality research is essential. A master’s postgraduate degree is desirable, as is experience of biological sample collection (e.g., venous blood), handling, storage (in accordance with GLP), biochemical analysis and an awareness of quality control techniques. In addition, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritise a continuously demanding workload.
