Firmly rooted in interdisciplinary scholarship, the business humanities research areas of the department include: Entrepreneurship, Ethics and Leadership We welcome research proposals that relate to entrepreneurship, including transformation, innovation, new venture creation, and market development; ethics in business, including diversity and inclusion, environmental humanities, responsibility, decision-making dilemmas, and the broader implications of business for society; and leadership, including emphasis on interpersonal relationships within organizations and workplace dynamics related to change processes. Governance, Culture and Learning We welcome proposals for doctoral work that relate to governance, including investigation of structures, processes and philosophies of governance; culture, including cultural management and cultural economics; and learning processes in organizations and business. While we encourage applications aligned with these themes, we also welcome innovative proposals that fall within the broader scope of business humanities research. Applicants are required to develop a theoretically grounded research proposal with a clear empirical focus. We welcome applicants from across social sciences and humanities. Applicants are required to indicate how their planned PhD research can contribute to BHL’s research environment. About Department of Business Humanities and Law (BHL) at CBS Core research areas of the Department of Business Humanities and Law include governance, culture, learning, entrepreneurship, business ethics, leadership and business law from commercial and societal perspectives. BHL Faculty have research backgrounds in various areas of political science, sociology, philosophy, history, anthropology, theology, aesthetics, design and innovation, tourism and leisure management, cultural economics, leadership and strategy, pedagogic study, law, and other fields. What unites faculty is an overriding concern for the organization of the human within its multiple environments: work, technology, nature, economy, civil association, the state, and corporation. BHL also participates in numerous interdisciplinary cross-CBS activities. In line with this concern, the PhD should demonstrate a capacity to bridge several of these environments and place the human at the heart of the project. Employment and salary A PhD scholarship runs for a period of three years, and includes teaching obligations corresponding to 416 work hours. The monthly salary is currently approximately DKK 29,691,75 up to DKK 36,180 depending on seniority and a pension contribution totalling 18,07 %. The scholarship includes tuition fees, office space, course and travel costs (according to the current CBS agreement). The Doctoral Candidate will: Develop and validate signal processing concepts for efficient large-array systems Design energy-efficient hardware architectures for beamforming Perform system-level modelling and simulations (e.g., MATLAB or similar tools) Design, tape out, and experimentally characterize integrated circuit prototypes Disseminate results through leading international journals and conferences Develop research collaboration with DCs in the Tampere University, ANCHOR network The position includes secondments of 6 months at University College London (UCL) and 4 months at Altice Labs (Portugal), providing direct exposure to both academic and industrial research environments. In addition to research duties, the candidate will complete all doctoral degree requirements at Tampere University, contribute to ANCHOR project deliverables, participate in network-wide training events, and actively disseminate results through scientific and professional channels. High-quality scientific publishing is expected throughout the project. Requirements This position follows the rules of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Networks. To be eligible: The applicant must not hold a PhD degree at the time of recruitment. The applicant must hold a relevant master’s degree by the time the employment begins (start date: 01.08.2026, or as soon as possible thereafter, but no later than 31.12.2026). Description The Social Science Experimental Laboratory (SSEL) at New York University Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Post-doctoral Researcher position.
