Located in the coastal city of Da Nang, Vietnam, Duy Tan University is a private institution founded in 1994. It takes its name from Vietnam’s early 20th century "Modernisation Movement". Da Nang is the fifth largest city in Vietnam. With the motto "Vietnamese Spirit, Creativity, Innovation, Reaching for New Heights" it declares a mission to "focus on the education and research of various sciences and technologies in order to produce dynamic, creative, healthy graduates who love their country, possess humanitarian Vietnamese values, a sense of community, self-confidence and a broad range of capabilities and skills, to become Citizens of the World". It has offered postgraduate qualifications since 2009. The university is located on six campuses, the largest being in Da Nang’s Lien Chieu district which was opened in 2011. It places a strong emphasis on international connections under the slogan "partnering with giants" and offers a number of double-degree courses. These include a partnership over the last three years with Purdue University in the USA and another in the last year with Coventry University in the UK. Duy Tan University is ranked sixth among Vietnamese institutions in the Nature Index for 2018-9 and seventh in an analysis of Vietnamese publications in international social science journals covering the years 2008 to 2018. The Institute for Global Health Innovation (IGHI) is among its best known research centres. Innovations devised by students in recent years have included a 6ft3in robot on a wheeled platform which helped people cross the road and, in 2016, Vietnam’s first condom dispenser.

The more details can be kindly found as below: 1. Industrial AI Algorithm and Autonomous Decision-Making Systems ​​​​​RESPONSIBILITIES Research and develop autonomous decision-making algorithms for process industries (e.g., chemical, pharmaceutical, materials, energy) or discrete manufacturing (e.g., electronics assembly, automotive, home appliances). Explore the integration of large language models and reinforcement learning for real-time optimization, fault self-recovery, and production scheduling in industrial processes. Publish research results in top-tier international conferences and journals, and participate in applying for domestic and international patents. Assist in supervising PhD and Master's students, and participate in the center's collaborative projects with industry partners to promote the industrialization of technology. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES A Ph.D. (obtained or soon to be obtained) in Computer Science, Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Operations Research, or a related field. Solid research background and practical experience in one or more of the following areas: Reinforcement Learning / Deep Reinforcement Learning Fine-tuning and Application of Large Language Models Time-Series Data Prediction and Modeling Intelligent Decision-Making and Optimization Algorithms Strong programming skills (proficient in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, etc.). Industrial Digital Twin and Intelligent Control Systems RESPONSIBILITIES Develop industrial process digital twin models based on the fusion of mechanistic and data-driven approaches. Develop predictive maintenance and fault diagnosis algorithms for critical equipment (e.g., compressors, reaction kettles). Research advanced process control strategies and deploy them on the center's distributed control systems and edge computing devices. Work closely with industry partners to validate and optimize the developed technologies in real industrial environments. Publish high-quality academic papers and participate in writing research grant proposals. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES A Ph.D. (obtained or soon to be obtained) in Control Science and Engineering, Process Control, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. In-depth research experience and solid expertise in one or more of the following areas: Advanced Process Control and Optimization Digital Twin and Modeling & Simulation Predictive Maintenance and Fault Diagnosis Industrial IoT and Edge Computing Good programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C++) and experience with system simulation. Description NYU Abu Dhabi is currently inviting applications for a full-time contract faculty position in the Dvision of Arts and Humanities to teach in the Division and in the Interactive Media program to begin potentially as early as Fall 2026. The position is a renewable appointment based on curricular demand and performance. The Interactive Media program is a Bachelor of Arts major at NYUAD that combines art, interaction design, communications, computer science, engineering, and critique. While the program is formally housed in the University’s Arts and Humanities Division, it is a multidisciplinary major and has broad reach across the University. The mission of the program is to foster the creative use of emerging technologies for research, communication, and expression, while advancing a deep engagement with theoretical frameworks and critical discourse in Interactive Media. The program emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach that connects artistic practice with intellectual inquiry and social responsibility. Arts Professors are active practitioners and creative and performing artists who have demonstrated expertise, excellence and experience in their particular professional domains and bring these qualifications to bear in their teaching. Arts Professors are expected to conduct research, defined as scholarly, creative and professional activities, and are expected to bring that research to bear in their teaching, and to provide service to NYUAD. Appointees must be experienced or highly knowledgeable in their particular fields and, where relevant, have had experience in curriculum development. The successful candidate will have an expansive background in scholarship and the arts that prepares them to contribute to the divisions’ research initiative and propose a wide variety of courses to students in our established liberal arts undergraduate programs and Masters of Fine Arts, and upcoming “Global Crossroads” MA and Ph.D. programs. Applicants should hold the required terminal degrees, such as MFAs and Ph.Ds or those who have demonstrated a high-level creative output across theory/practice divides. The candidate should be able to teach about recent and impending development in artificial intelligence as it relates to the arts and humanities. They should have demonstrated abilities to teach across the arts and humanities and develop transdisciplinary research teams. We are looking for a faculty member who: Possesses an understanding of the aesthetic, cultural, social, political, critical, and ethical implications of interactive media and emerging technologies, and fosters an awareness of how these technologies shape and are shaped by societal contexts through historic and contemporary perspectives. Can engage students in developing a conceptual foundation for interactive media, integrating critical texts, reflective analysis, and creative practices that combine theoretical understanding with hands-on experimentation. Can engage students with a wide range of artists, scholars and practitioners whose work has shaped the field of interactive media fostering a nuanced understanding of its evolution and future directions Can support students in cultivating a critical vocabulary to articulate and analyze interactive media concepts, theories and projects, both in writing and discussion. Can engage students in creative practice, storytelling through various forms of media, designing rich user experiences, and exploring new modes of human-computer interactions. Has demonstrated experience in exhibiting works and/or presenting at festivals and conferences, with the ability to teach and support students in developing and showcasing their own work in similar professional contexts. The Interactive Media program is integrated into the NYUAD liberal arts experience and is interested in faculty who consider teaching an extension of their research. Inherent to the program’s values is an agility with regard to interactive media and its rapid evolution, and thus we welcome faculty who will contribute to the development of the curriculum, specifically in the area of AI. Applicants who can teach the following are encouraged to apply: Theoretical courses that explore concepts, questions, and components that encompass interactive media as it relates to creative expression and critical engagement. Foundation courses that survey various technologies including web development, sound, 2D and 3D design, XR, digital imaging, video, effects and animation, and digital fabrication. Job Purpose: The POD robotics team is building up 3 specific domains capabilities to meet complex industry demands that spans across hardware, software, and AI. Adding a Full-Stack Robotics PO would add to the capability of the robotics team. This role will establish our technical standards by leveraging ROS2 and RMF to build standardised, reusable middleware for multi-robot coordination and fleet management as we embark to integrate with JTC ODP and enable center for conducting the testing certification at PDD when the sandbox is established. Knowledge of Embodied AI (SLAM, Reinforced Learning) is also critical for developing shared, plug-and-play autonomy capabilities that drastically accelerate project development speed. With a strong foundation in Mechatronics, this individual guarantee hardware-software integrity and mitigates technical risk by prototyping and troubleshooting physical components in-house. Recruiting this role is a strategic necessity to fuse these disparate domains, allowing the team to deliver robust, standardised modules and support our applied research portfolio. About the Role Maintenance Technician - Plumber 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Plumbing Technician to join our Estates and Facilities team. Research Context & Project Background The Department of Orthopaedics of Traumatology, School of Clinical of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and talented Post-doctoral Fellow to join our multidisciplinary research team focusing on the molecular mechanisms of musculoskeletal diseases, including intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) and rare bone diseases like Pseudoachondroplasia (PSACH). Given that skeletal disorders often involve complex "ER storage" pathologies and genetic mutations, our research aims to bridge the gap between clinical observation and molecular therapy. The successful candidate will leverage the unique clinical resources of the Greater Bay Area and the advanced research facilities at the University to develop innovative treatments. Duties and Responsibilities Design and conduct experiments involving molecular biology, genetics, and gene editing (e.g., CRISPR/Cas9) to model orthopedic pathologies. Manage and perform functional studies using animal models (e.g., transgenic mice) to evaluate disease progression and therapeutic efficacy. Utilize induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) technology to create disease-in-a-dish models for high-throughput screening.
