About the opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist and educator to contribute to the delivery and continuous improvement of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) across the Doctor of Pharmacy program. You will play a key role in designing and coordinating high-quality clinical placements, ensuring students gain meaningful, diverse, and practice-ready experiences aligned with evolving scopes of practice and accreditation standards. In this role, you will: Deliver high-quality teaching and coordination of WIL units across undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy programs Lead the design and continuous improvement of practice-based education, including innovative assessment methods such as Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) Develop and maintain strong partnerships with hospitals, community pharmacy, aged care, and primary care settings to support sustainable clinical placements Engage with industry preceptors and supervisors through training, support, and site engagement activities Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance processes, and accreditation requirements (including APC standards) Support data-informed continuous improvement through analysis of student, supervisor, and placement outcomes Contribute to a collaborative academic environment through teaching, service, and professional engagement activities You will also support WIL delivery across practitioner development areas such as prescribing, advanced medicines management, and chronic disease education during peak periods. About you To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong combination of clinical expertise, teaching capability, and stakeholder engagement experience: A degree in Pharmacy with current unconditional registration with AHPRA, and a PhD (or equivalent professional standing) in a relevant discipline Demonstrated experience in teaching within health professional programs, including clinical education or Work Integrated Learning Experience designing and delivering practice-based assessments (e.g. EPAs or similar competency-based models) Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships with healthcare providers to support student placements and workforce development A commitment to inclusive, culturally safe teaching practices and a collaborative, team-oriented approach Note: Employment checks will include information on gender-based violence, sexual harassment, and related misconduct to meet legal obligations. This is part of your personality: A completed university degree (Master’s, Magister) in Physical Education (Bewegung und Sport) or Sports Science, preferably complemented by initial professional experience in sports management or sports coordination. Ideally, a state-certified qualification as a sports instructor or coach, along with prior experience in teaching sports courses independently. A personality characterized by strong organizational and coordination skills, combining an independent, self-reliant working style with a strong sense of commercial/economic thinking. Excellent communication skills, a high capacity for teamwork, and well-developed social competencies. The ability to handle temporary high-pressure workloads, ensuring you always maintain a clear overview even during peak organizational periods. Comprehensive IT proficiency in MS Office and database management systems is required. Familiarity with the Moodle learning platform is an advantage. An excellent command of German as well as a good command of English, both written and spoken, are mandatory for this position.
