To commence from September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in education, social sciences, STEAM or science education, artificial intelligence, or a related discipline, with experience in analysing survey and assessment data. Familiarity with the literature on digital literacy and factors influencing students’ educational achievement is a strong advantage. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in managing and analysing large scale quantitative research using advanced statistical methods such as multiple linear regression, mediation analysis, multilevel modelling, and latent variable models. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines are essential. Candidates must demonstrate high proficiency in English writing and be capable of communicating research findings effectively to both academic and general audiences. He/She should be self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. The appointee will work on a project on STEAM education, artificial intelligence, and transformative leadership. He/She will work closely with the Principal Investigator and the project team to conduct research in a predominantly independent manner, investigating areas related to the teaching and learning of STEAM and artificial intelligence, multilevel leadership and related fields. Responsibilities include: research design and development of instruments; data collection, management, analysis and interpretation; drafting project proposals and reports; preparing publications for peer reviewed journals and books; liaising with project schools, professional bodies and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth implementation of research activities; and assisting the project team with the implementation of the project, development of project deliverables, and administrative and promotional tasks related to the project. The position is primarily focussed on the delivery of courses within the school’s undergraduate and postgraduate nursing or midwifery programs. You will work with guidance and direction from course coordinators. The role of tutor utilises contemporary professional/discipline-related knowledge in their teaching practice and carries out activities to develop scholarly expertise. Core Responsibilities: Under direction conduct learning activities including lectures, tutorials, assessment and provide timely feedback to students. Use a variety of pedagogical techniques (including face-to-face, online and blended learning) to foster student learning. Undertake high quality teaching as part of the teaching team, including participation in moderation of marking exercises. Incorporate contemporary professional/discipline-based knowledge in teaching activities Act as a student advisor by responding promptly to queries and directing students to appropriate supports/services. Undertake administrative functions connected to courses taught. Actively participate in meetings and committees at the discipline, program and Academic Unit level. Experience Required:  Relevant and recent clinical experience. High level written and oral communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, combined with cultural sensitivity. Demonstrated ability to actively engage and educate a student group. Be capable of using the necessary digital technologies required for effective curriculum delivery. High level administrative and organisational skills. Eligibility Requirements: Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery and relevant postgraduate qualification in a nursing or midwifery specialisation together with current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia including a current practicing certificate as a Registered Nurse or Midwife.
