Description The Kamei Reverse Bioengineering Laboratory within the Divisions of Science and Engineering at NYU Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate position that advances the frontiers of developmental biology and disease modeling. The laboratory integrates stem-cell biology, fluorescence imaging, bioinformatics, and advanced nano- and micro-engineering to decode organogenesis and early embryogenesis, translating these insights into regenerative medicine, drug discovery, and precision therapeutics. The appointed fellow will design and fabricate nano- and micro-engineered platforms that interface with human stem cells, investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms governing development and pathology, lead experiments from conception through publication in high-impact journals, mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers, and contribute to grant writing and interdisciplinary collaborations. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in science, engineering, or a closely related field awarded before the start date, and is within the first five years post-receiving a PhD. Competitive candidates will demonstrate expertise in areas such as device design and fabrication, stem-cell culture and differentiation, high-resolution imaging, single-cell or bulk omics, or bioinformatics, together with a strong publication record, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
