Dicle University dates back to 1966 when the Faculty of Medicine was established as part of Ankara University. In 1974 the Faculty of Arts and Sciences opened and Diyarbakir University was officially founded. In 1982 the university was renamed Dicle University. The university is located in Diyarbakir, a city in southeastern Turkey. Although its main campus is situated in Diyarbakir, the university also has vocational schools in Ergani, Çermik, Çüngüş, Bismil, and Silvan. The university is named after the Tigris River, which is translated as "Dicle" in Turkish. The river separates the university’s 27,000-acre campus from the city. There are 15 faculties within the university including the faculty of dentistry, faculty of science, faculty of law, faculty of theology, and the faculty of architecture. Each faculty offers a range of undergraduate degree programmes. The university has four graduate schools for students seeking to further their education: the graduate school of natural and applied sciences, the graduate school of social sciences, the graduate school of health sciences, and the graduate school of education sciences. There are four schools within the university: the school of physical education and sports, the school of civil aviation, the school of foreign languages, and the Atatürk school of health.

We are currently seeking to hire a Lead Mechatronics Engineer to take primary technical responsibility for the design, build, integration, and field deployment of mechatronics systems for ground robots operating in extreme field environments. Working under the broad direction of the Chief Investigator, you will design ruggedised autonomous platforms based on integrated off-the-shelf vehicle components, suitable for sustained operation in rugged outdoor terrain across multiple application domains. This is a senior individual contributor role. You will work autonomously on the mechatronics scope of the platform, with technical assurance provided by the Senior Mechatronics Technical Lead at defined design reviews, and with close collaboration alongside Software Engineers and Postdoctoral Research Fellows. The appointment is offered initially for 12 months. The programme is funded across multiple years and there is strong potential for extension subject to performance and continued funding. This study attempts to investigate the effects of cognitive remediation on neurocognition, social cognition and functional outcomes of persons with schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorders in the community mental health setting. It will be conducted in five community-based psychiatric rehabilitation centres. The Research Assistant is expected to work closely with colleagues at the five psychiatric rehabilitation centres, conduct outcome measurements and carry out all administrative procedures in accordance with research governance policies. The Research Assistant will also need to be able to work independently.
