About the Role

The Senior Research Fellow, Proteomics Facility Manager will lead cutting-edge research in proteomics while managing the day-to-day operations of the Proteomics Facility. This role combines scientific leadership with operational oversight, including equipment management, staff training, financial planning, and strategic development. The successful candidate will drive research excellence, foster collaborations, secure external funding, and contribute to building the University’s national and international reputation.


	Lead and deliver high-quality, innovative proteomics research, securing external grants and publishing in top-tier journals.
	Oversee the effective management and development of the Proteomics Facility, including equipment maintenance and upgrades.
	Provide training and mentorship to staff, students, and HDR candidates, ensuring safe and effective use of facility resources.

Job description:

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher specialized in electronics and embedded systems, capable of designing and deploying innovative IoT solutions for research projects such as air quality monitoring, water leak detection and energy monitoring of electric vehicle batteries. The candidate will need to master sensor technologies, embedded systems, and communication protocols, while integrating real-time data into cloud platforms to develop reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.

Main tasks and responsibilities 

Design, develop, and test IoT solutions for air quality monitoring and electric vehicle battery tracking. Integrate environmental and energy sensors with real-time data collection and analysis systems. Deploy prototypes in the field and optimize their performance based on feedback. Guarantee the reliability, security and scalability of the IoT solutions developed. Work closely with research teams to produce usable data and contribute to scientific publications. Contribute to scientific publications and disseminate results to decision-makers and communities.

Qualifications required

PhD in one of the following fields: electronics and embedded systems, telecommunications, industrial computing, electrical engineering or equivalent. Expertise in the design, prototyping and deployment of IoT solutions for environmental and energy applications. Solid knowledge of embedded electronics and microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, etc.). Expertise in developing sensors for air quality (PM2.5, CO2, Nox, etc.) and energy monitoring (voltages, currents, battery charge/discharge cycles); Proficiency in languages commonly used in IoT, such as C/C++, Python, and JavaScript. Expertise in firmware development and optimization for microcontrollers and embedded systems. Knowledge of IoT communication protocols (MQTT, CoAP, LoRaWAN, Zigbee, BLE, Wi-Fi, LTE, etc.). Experience in integrating IoT systems with cloud platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud IoT, ThingsBoard, etc. Familiarity with Edge Computing architecture to process data locally before transferring it to the cloud. Implementation of pipelines to collect real-time data from IoT sensors. Expertise in IoT-oriented databases (e.g., InfluxDB, PostgreSQL, Firebase, etc.). Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, Tableau, etc.).

Personal and organizational skills

Ability to solve complex problems related to the design and optimization of IoT systems. Ability to lead a project from start to finish, from design to implementation. Ability to produce high-level publications and present research results at international conferences. Collaboration with researchers, engineers and technicians on multidisciplinary projects. Ability to present technical results and solutions to non-technical stakeholders. Entrepreneurial skills, dynamism, organizational skills. Perfect oral and written command of French and English.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:


	Conduct original research of international excellence.
	Design experiments (DoE) for the synthesis of nanoarchitectured materials and nanocomposites for supercapacitor applications.
	Support equipment procurement and effectively coordinate with international suppliers.
	Assemble and test supercapacitor devices.
	Prepare publications for leading journals and present findings at national and international conferences, workshops, and meetings.

	A Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Processes, or a related engineering discipline.
	A strong background in electrochemical surface science.
	Proficiency in elemental and structural analysis using various techniques.
	Knowledge of advanced structural characterizations (highly valued).
	Expertise in surface analysis, electrochemistry (including cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge–discharge, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy), electrode preparation, and aging tests (long-term cycling stability).

The Business, Communication and Design (BCD) Cluster is one of five academic clusters at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). Faculty Openings in the Accountancy Programme

The Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Accountancy was one of the first three programmes conferred by SIT. The programme is accredited by Singapore’s national accountancy body, the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), as well as several leading global accountancy professional bodies, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Uniquely, the programme is also recognised under the University Affiliation Programme by the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute.

This three-year direct honours degree was developed through extensive consultations with industry leaders and accreditation bodies. Learners may choose to specialise in one of five accountancy domains: Applied Finance, Audit, Corporate Accounting, Management Accounting, and Taxation.
