All of City University Ajman’s academic programs are accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA). The evaluation was in eight categories for CUAjman: teaching, employability, internationalization, development, facilities, program length, social responsibility, and inclusiveness. In addition, the process included several indicators in each category, chosen based on global standards and best practices.
On the 10th anniversary of City University College of Ajman, the institution has earned University Status from the ministry of education- higher education affairs. We are known as City University Ajman.
The achievement was earned after a series of detailed and in-depth reviews conducted by the commission of academic accreditation (CAA) at the intuitional level. And in order to prepare for these reviews, members of university management, faculty, and administration were fully engaged through deliberate grassroots efforts, which were systematic and sustainable in institutional governance, strategic planning, quality assurance, academic integrity, research, resource management, and internationalization. And the outcome of these reviews leading to a University status validates all of these efforts.

Centre for English Language Education (CELE) Since the development of the Nottingham Ningbo campus in 2004, the Centre for English Language Education (CELE) has aimed to promote high-quality English for Academic Purposes (EAP) teaching in its structure and support of academic programmes delivered in China. With over 85 academic staff, the CELE operation at UNNC is now one of the largest of its kind in the world and is currently supporting students on UNNC Year 1 modules, pre-sessionals, summer schools and in-sessional language and academic skills support programmes. We are seeking an experienced manager and curriculum specialist to join our team as a Senior Course Tutor in English for Academic Purposes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in designing academic English curricula, a proven track record of leading collaborative and innovative educational modules, and exceptional skills in managing and inspiring a diverse team of teaching professionals. This role is pivotal in ensuring the success of our EAP programmes and supporting students in achieving their academic goals. Reporting to the Director of CELE and relevant Deputy Director, the Senior Course Tutor in English for Academic Purposes will be responsible for the management of staff and EAP modules. The Senior Tutor would typically have module convener responsibility for one or more taught modules, and as such, will be actively involved in issues around curriculum design, delivery, assessment and review. The Senior Tutor may also have a leadership role in knowledge exchange provision and the organisation and delivery of summer activities. They would ideally have a proven track record of effective project management in one or more of these areas. The successful candidate will also directly line manage teams of up to 10 individual academic staff and be responsible for carrying out classroom observations of teaching, as well as conducting annual staff performance reviews. Delivery of teaching on CELE modules will also be required. Southampton Education School is a flourishing centre of research and teaching excellence. It has a well-established programme of Initial Teacher Education in both primary and secondary PGCE, rated Outstanding in all areas (Ofsted, 2023) We are looking to appoint an experienced and well qualified Science Teacher Educator, specialising in Physics and/or Chemistry, to join our PGCE Secondary Science programme. The position is full-time and initially offered on a 1-year fixed-term basis (with the possibility of extension), with job share applications welcome. The Secondary PGCE programmes at the University of Southampton deliver Initial Teacher Education within the University and work in partnership with over 100 local secondary schools. Our programme provides thorough preparation for teaching in relation to the Teachers’ Standards, while our research-led philosophy develops teachers whose independent and creative approach brings about high-quality learning and teaching. We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who will teach and support beginning teachers in Secondary Science, with a specific focus on Physics and/or Chemistry.
