Chulabhorn Royal Academy

The Chulabhorn Royal Academy is a non-profit medical institution in Bangkok, producing professionals in medicine, science, public health, technology and environmental studies. 
It is named after Princess Chulabhorn. 
Eleven undergraduate and five postgraduate degrees are delivered across five faculties: medical science; health-science technology; nursing; medicine; and science. Three of the five faculties are named after Thai princesses. A campus medical research centre designs technologies to make radiotherapy faster, safer and more personalised. 
Student dormitories are available on campus. Alternatively, private dormitories and apartments are available within 1km of the university. The student union oversees all student activities – whether recreational clubs or faculty-specific societies. The university also holds the annual CRA Games, in which different faculties compete in sports and athletics events.

The School of Future Media (SFM) at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is a newly established interdisciplinary school dedicated to advancing education, research and creative practice at the intersection of journalism, documentary filmmaking, artificial intelligence and the global creative industries. Established in October 2025, the School brings together HKU’s Journalism and Media Studies Centre (JMSC), the Division of Documentary and AI Filmmaking, and the Division of Global Creative Industries, creating a distinctive platform for innovation across factual storytelling, screen-based media and emerging creative technologies.

Building on the longstanding strengths of JMSC in journalism education and multimedia storytelling, SFM promotes an integrated approach spanning the humanities, creative arts and technology. The Position

The position is open to all areas in one or more of the following or related fields, including but not limited to:

The appointees are expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and curriculum development, supervise postgraduate students, conduct high-quality research, and undertake administrative duties at SFM.

	A Ph.D. degree in film production and film studies, journalism and media studies, computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, and related fields;
	A strong commitment to excellence in research, teaching and mentoring;
	A proven track record in academic leadership and university-level administration;
	A distinguished and sustained record of conducting high-quality impactful research from publications, competitive grants and international recognition for scholarship;
	Strong connections and exposure in media industry or partners in China and/or Asia-Pacific region;
	Ability to establish strategic partnerships with industry and international academic institutions for fundraising, resource development and School’s advancement.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
