Chapman University is a higher learning institute in Orange, California, in existence since 1851. Also in the city of Orange is the UC Irvine Medical Centre, and the surrounding area was the setting of popular television show The O.C. 

Priding itself on an interdisciplinary education, Chapman melds teachings from the social sciences, humanities at sciences at every academic level. One of the most successful courses at Chapman is the B.F.A in Film Production, which has trained well known figures such as Duffer Brothers, creators of hit Netflix show Stranger Things. On the course the fourth year final thesis is a film that will act as a professional portfolio piece when seeking employment in the film industry.

There are twenty 4+1 and Bridge Programmes offering students accelerated five year bachelor and masters degrees, available in courses such as a BS in biological science to MS food science, and an integrated undergraduate/MA in english.

Among the facilities on campus is the Fish Interfaith Centre, accommodating students of all faiths and none in discourse and community support. A theme of Chapman is ‘war and peace’, and the Centre for American War Letters on campus contains previously unpublished letters from soldiers in every military conflict involving the US Army.

Holocaust education is an important aspect of Chapman, and the university offers a minor in Holocaust history. On site there is both the Rodgers Centre for Holocaust Education and the Samueli Holocaust Memorial Library, which in 2005 was opened by Nobel Peace Prize winner and novelist Elie Wiesel on the 60th anniversary of his liberation from Buchenwald concentration camp.

We are dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and translating our research into real-world medical solutions, offering a dynamic and collaborative setting for cutting-edge research.  About The Role We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join a multi-disciplinary research group led by Dr N.Safinia and Prof. A.Sanchez-Fueyo at King’s College London’s Roger Williams Institute of Liver Studies. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative research at the forefront of systems medicine, focusing on the progression of liver cancer and immune mediated liver damage. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to unravel the metabolic drivers of HCC biology and transplant rejection through cutting-edge spatial multi-omics and computational metabolic modeling. The role involves developing and implementing computational methods to integrate single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and metallomics data. Using advanced techniques such as MALDI-MSI metabolic profiling and enzyme-constrained GEMs, the candidate will generate region-specific models to predict metabolic fluxes associated with liver disease. This research will provide key insights into the metabolic alterations driving T cell function within the liver microenvironment in various liver diseases, including transplant rejection and cancer, with the ultimate goal of contributing to the development of novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. The post is based at the James Black Centre, Denmark Hill campus, and the candidate will report directly to Dr. N.Safinia and Prof. A.Sanchez-Fueyo. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with clinicians, computational biologists, and experimentalists, ensuring that computational models are seamlessly integrated with experimental data. Responsibilities also include the supervision of junior researchers and the preparation of high-impact research publications. This role is ideal for individuals with expertise in systems biology, bioinformatics, and multi-omics data analysis, who are eager to make significant contributions to the field of liver disease research. About the Job: The College of Science, Mathematics and Technology is seeking highly motivated individuals to join the Department of Natural Sciences at WKU. All faculty positions are full-time assignments, effective at the start of the 2026 Spring or Fall semester. These positions are full-time assignments, appointed on a 3-year contract initially, and are renewable upon a successful review of reappointment. A Lecturer is a full-time employee who teaches 30 credits per year (10-month contract) or 39 credits per year (11-month contract) and provides student and learning support services during the assigned period. Facilities currently include two cyclotrons, radiochemistry labs, three PET-CT scanners and a PET-MR scanner. We have recently installed two state-of-the-art Siemens Quadra Total Body PET-CT scanners. This is a very exciting time to join our team with ample opportunity to contribute to an ambitious programme developing the clinical and research capabilities of the department. Our work includes providing a clinical PET service for >8,000 patients per year from across South East London as well as national referrals from other UK centres. We also support clinical and technical research programs with collaborators from the Hospital, the Medical School and other institutions. Clinical and research imaging capabilities are greatly enhanced by our on-site cyclotrons and radiochemistry laboratories, with tracers produced to GMP standards. We are one of two initial sites selected by the Medical Research Council (MRC) for the UK Total Body PET infrastructure. About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced PET radiographer/imaging technologist for maternity leave cover, to support our imaging teams in developing new ways of working to fully exploit the opportunities that Total Body PET will bring. With support and in collaboration with the PET Centre Superintendent Radiographers, the post holder will be responsible for identifying, developing and co-ordinating training and development initiatives for the Imaging teams. With input from the Medical Physics Leads, they will ensure staff are supported in adopting new practices to optimise clinical imaging protocols for Total Body PET, whilst maintaining skills in conventional PET-CT. They will ensure staff are trained to the highest possible standards to deliver a growing portfolio of PET research studies in adherence with Good Clinical Practice. In doing so, they will be expected to lead by example, able to deliver excellent quality imaging and patient/participant care themselves. They will provide leadership and motivation to establish research and clinical practices which are evidence-based and lead to standard setting. With the Superintendent team, they will monitor and review professional standards of care, reporting on performance, and instituting remedial action where necessary. To be successful in this post, we require a dynamic and ambitious qualified Radiographer/Technologist with good interpersonal skills and at least 3 years’ experience of working in PET imaging or nuclear medicine. Candidates who have experience in a practice development role and/or in delivering research studies and/or working with Total Body PET will be preferred. An important criterion for selecting the successful post holder will be their commitment to drive and implement change when recommended. They will support teams to deliver excellent clinical care to all patients and research subjects, working within all relevant local and National regulatory and clinical governance guidelines.  The post holder will assist the Radiation Protection Supervisor, Superintendent Radiographers and clinical and academic leads in all aspects of service provision, including working with new staff, trainees, students and visitors. They will need to be able to work independently, make decisions, and organise and prioritise their workload in a busy work environment and time critical situations. The role will be based at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, but there will also be some requirement to engage with collaborators across the UK Total Body PET infrastructure, and to promote and disseminate practice development information to the wider PET professional community. This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract for maternity leave cover (up to 12 months). About You To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: Essential criteria  Full BSc / Diploma in Radiography or recognised Nuclear Medicine qualification Hands-on prior experience of working in PET or Nuclear Medicine, including handling blood products and unsealed radiation sources Sound awareness of clinical research methodology Experience of delivering teaching/training Extensive knowledge of imaging techniques and principles used in PET, CT and NM.
