CEU is the largest private educational group in Spain, and the CEU Universities are located in Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia. The CEU group offers education to students from the age of three upwards. The organisation is inspired by the values of Christian Humanism.

The main subject areas at the CEU Universities are: communication sciences, health sciences, humanities and education, engineering and architecture, law and political science, economics and business studies, and gastronomy. The programmes are offered to undergraduates, postgraduates and those interested in doctoral degrees.

The universities state that their courses promote educational innovation, use applied research, foster transversal skills, offer an international perspective, and focus on employability. For students who cannot decide which Spanish city they would like to study in, the university offers a choice to study in one city, then intern in another, to get a diverse Spanish experience.

CEU Universities participate in an international program,e, allowing their students to study abroad at some of the world’s most prestigious universities, such as Boston University, UCLA and Fordham University.

There are range of state of the art facilities on each of the three campuses at CEU, including: audiovisual centers, laboratories, veterinary clinical hospital, chapels, CEU Institute for Advanced Management, and a variety of sporting facilities.

Your planned research should fall under this theme.  The Department of Science and Technology Studies is part of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Science and Technology Studies is a social science field with a strong interdisciplinary orientation that analyses the interactions of science, technology, and society. The department offers the English language master program 'Science, Technology, Society', as well as a number of course formats for other programs. The position is advertised to the extent of 30 hours/week (75%) for a period of four years. The anticipated start date is in October 2026. Job Description FACULTY OF SCIENCE DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS The Department has focus research areas in (a) Advanced Materials & Energy and (b) Biophysics & Complex Systems. Description We are inviting applications for a full-time Post-Doctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi from individuals who have or will soon receive a PhD in Political Science, Economics or a related discipline. The appointment will begin September 1, 2026, subject to final budget approval and is available for up to three years. The post-doctoral associate will spend half their time on independent research and half their time on collaborative research with Professors Giuliana Pardelli and Jeffrey Jensen. The collaborative research will be in the field of political economy, with an emphasis on projects related to fiscal and institutional development. The ideal candidate will possess advanced methodological skills, including experience managing and analyzing large, complex datasets, as well as familiarity with machine learning workflows, natural language processing (NLP), and text-as-data methods. We are especially interested in applicants who demonstrate a strong substantive interest in using empirical tools to study political institutions, fiscal systems, and long-run development. The position does not require teaching, but it may be possible to get teaching experience for compensation. You would join a group of over 20 post-doctoral fellows and 70 faculty in the Division of Social Science.
