Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role As Teaching Fellow in Biomedical Sciences, you will play a core role in delivering high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across areas relevant to the Biomedical Science major. This may include lectures, tutorials, workshops, laboratories, and fieldwork. Your responsibilities will also include contributing to assessment, paper administration, development of teaching materials, and training or supervising sessional assistants. Teaching Fellows at Waikato focus on excellence in teaching and learning rather than research, making this an ideal role for those passionate about education, student engagement, and impactful teaching practice. Salary will be in the range of $79,211 to $111,169 per year, based on the skills, knowledge, and experience you bring to the role. The Research Ethics and Governance Office (REGO), based within Research & Innovation Services (RIS), provides core support for research ethics across the University and delivers advice and guidance to researchers on all aspects of clinical research governance and wider research regulatory compliance. About the role We are seeking to appoint a Research Ethics and Governance Officer to join the Research Ethics and Governance Office (REGO). In this role you will support Faculty Research Ethics Committee in the development of ethics‑related policies, training and information resources. You will also undertake governance reviews of research applications submitted by staff and students via the Ethics and Governance Online system (ERGO II), ensuring that projects comply with University policies and guidelines and, where applicable, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). A central aspect of the role will involve overseeing a diverse portfolio of clinical research and clinical trials, including medical devices, human challenge studies and clinical trials of investigational medicinal products (CTIMPs). You will work across a wide range of research activities, from studies exploring new treatments for serious and terminal illnesses through to behavioural and psychological research. By supporting projects throughout their full lifecycle, you will provide ongoing, practical advice to researchers.  About you You will bring: A high level of initiative, a genuine interest in building your career in research ethics and governance, and a collaborative approach to working within a busy team. Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. An enthusiasm for working in a dynamic environment, alongside strong planning and problem‑solving skills. A good understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and some experience/knowledge of clinical research Experience of working in Higher Education and/or within the health research sector (for example the NHS or commercial health research) would be advantageous, but is not essential. Job Description SCHOOL OF CREATIVE ARTS Part-time Lecturer (26270038) The Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (Global Entertainment) program is a transdisciplinary initiative designed to nurture future leaders in the global entertainment and creative industries. The program is looking for Part-time Lecturer(s) to teach undergraduate course(s) in the following areas: Fundamentals of the global entertainment business and operational models Talent, brand, and artiste management in the creative sector Creative entrepreneurship, design thinking, and business innovation Planning, marketing, and management of signature/large-scale art events Any other related disciplines within the creative industries The ideal candidate should hold a master’s degree or above in related disciplines, with at least 3 years of professional experience in the global entertainment and creative industries. Candidates should possess strong industry knowledge in areas such as content development, licensing, artiste management, event planning, or creative entrepreneurship. Previous teaching experience at the university level is highly preferred. As the medium of instruction for these courses is English, an excellent command of English is required. Excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a passion for mentoring students are also essential. Duties may also include the supervision of students, marking of examination papers and collaborative projects, and any other work as assigned by the Programme Director. The initial appointment will be offered on a part-time basis commencing Sep 2026. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review and course availability.
