The Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica Celso Suckow da Fonseca (CEFET-RJ) is a federal institution located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, established in 1917. The university has its main headquarters in the Maracanã neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro, where the Maracanã Campus is situated. It offers basic, professional, and higher education programmes, and serves as the administrative hub for the institution. The Nova Iguaçu campus was established in 2003, marking the university’s expansion into the Baixada Fluminense region. The Maria da Graça campus was created in 2006, following the revitalisation of a manufacturing space previously owned by the Student Assistance Foundation. Located in a densely populated area, the campus has implemented various outreach projects and collaborates with partner companies. The Petrópolis campus, established in 2008, is housed in the building of the former forum in the city's historic centre, and the Nova Friburgo campus, also established in 2008, is located just outside the city centre in a property provided by the Department of Highways. The university also runs TV CEFET/RJ, a television channel primarily broadcasted over the internet.

The successful candidate will be expected to engage students through innovative teaching methods, fostering critical thinking, clinical reasoning, professional values and ethical practice. Provide clinical education leadership, overseeing curriculum design and delivery, student assessment and continuous quality improvement, and provide mentorship to junior members of the clinical education team. Provide mentorship and guidance to students, including advising on research projects, theses, and career development. Conduct high-impact research in Orthopaedics, securing external funding to establish and sustain these programmes.
