Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country View Position Description About the Role The Manger Counselling Service is responsible for providing leadership and management of the Flinders University’s Counselling Service - including the Intake and Assessment team and Counselling teams including those based in regional and remote areas. The Counselling Service provides a range of services to enhance student wellbeing including intake and assessment, crisis and critical incident support, complex case management, short-term solution-focussed counselling, gender-based violence support, group programs, wellbeing initiatives including training and consultation to staff across the university. In collaboration with the Director Student Life, you will play a key role in ensuring that efficient and effective service delivery models are in place to support student wellbeing, meet service demands, and ensure compliance with relevant legislative, regulatory and policy obligations. This will be achieved by: Providing leadership, supervision and performance management to a team of counsellors delivering high quality programs of work and student health and wellbeing services. This includes ensuring quality and consistency of service delivery, planning adequate resourcing to meet demand, providing professional supervision and fostering and modelling a high-performance culture. Implementing a continuous improvement framework to ensure the delivery of quality and timely counselling services and other wellbeing initiatives, programs and projects that reflect best practice and the current higher education sector priorities. Ensuring that students in crisis and/or at risk are managed appropriately, including taking a key role in the management of critical incidents. Contributing to initiatives that aim to address and promote matters related to student mental health and wellbeing, including gender-based violence. We would like to hear from early career researchers who have recently completed a PhD related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, public health, epidemiology or health services research, with a strong research track record relative to opportunity. Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in cancer research and a plan to have their postdoctoral research focused on improving equity and reducing disparities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians. We are looking for applicants with experience working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.The successful applicant can either develop their own cancer research project with the support of their supervisors, if they have a particular cancer research interest, or they can choose to work on research projects from existing areas of expertise within the Daffodil and Poche Centres. The Centres have substantial methodological expertise, including in epidemiology, biostatistics, Yarning, consumer engagement research, health economics, health services research, implementation science, behavioural science, qualitative research and health policy. The Role Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in gas-phase ion spectroscopy with a particular emphasis on utilising spectroscopic tools (photoelectron imaging and action spectroscopy) to study the structure and dynamics of transition metal complexes. The research project aims to develop a new method for elucidating the mechanisms of transition metal chemistry, by isolating reactive intermediates in the gas-phase and interrogating their electronic structure using ion spectroscopy. The research project will be led by Jemma Gibbard, and is funded by a Leverhulme Trust Research Project Grant. The successful applicant will be expected to aid the development of experimental protocols, perform experiments (gas-phase ion spectroscopy with ns/fs laser systems), analyse and interpret data, and prepare outputs in the form of manuscripts and presentations at scientific conferences.
