Your opportunity Southern Cross University’s Faculty of Education is seeking a Senior Manager, Professional Experience to provide strategic and operational leadership of the Faculty’s Professional Experience program. This pivotal leadership role will drive the development, continuous improvement and governance of one of the University’s most critical student-facing functions, ensuring high quality placement experiences that meet accreditation, compliance and regulatory standards. Working closely with the Associate Dean (Education Partnerships), and Faculty Executive, you will lead a large, multilayered professional team responsible for coordinating professional placements across Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary and Higher Education programs. You will shape service delivery models, strengthen external partnerships, optimise systems and processes, and ensure a culture of service excellence aligned with the University’s strategic objectives.   You will make an impact by: Providing strategic and operational leadership of the Professional Experience Centre, driving continuous improvement, service performance, workforce planning and sustainable operating models Leading and developing a high performing Professional Experience team, setting clear expectations, building leadership capability, and fostering a resilient, student-focused service culture Oversee governance, compliance and risk management across professional experience programs, ensuring alignment with accreditation, WHS, legal and regulatory obligations Establish and strengthen strategic partnerships with schools, ECEC settings, accrediting authorities and government bodies to secure and sustain quality placement opportunities Drive data informed decision making, reporting and system optimization, including SONIA and CRM platforms, to enhance placement outcomes and student experience What you will bring You’re a strategic and experienced leader with a strong track record in managing complex, student-facing operations within highly regulated environments. You bring commercial acumen, governance expertise and a deep understanding of service delivery, combined with the ability to lead teams through change and continuous improvement. As a University of Applied Learning, the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) works closely with industry in its research pursuits. This position is situated within the Centre for Immersification, dedicated to applied research in immersive technologies and bridging the gap between academia and industry. Research staff at the Centre have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets relevant to industry demands while working on innovative projects within the university. The research team is seeking a Research Fellow or Research Engineer with strong expertise in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and social science methodologies to lead the user research and policy development, as part of an interdisciplinary team investigating harmful user-generated content in virtual worlds as part of a national research initiative on Online Trust and Safety. The primary responsibility of this role is to investigate users’ experiences with harmful content in these virtual environments, review existing reporting guidelines on these platforms, and evaluate users’ responses to alternative mechanisms. The successful candidate will work with a diverse team of faculty members, engineers, and industry partners, including labs at the College of Computing and Data Science (CCDS) at NTU. Technical skills, natural curiosity, versatility, and enthusiasm are highly desired traits that will enable success in this fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the research project together with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Conduct a comprehensive review of literature, existing safety policies, community standards, and moderation tools currently used in online social gaming platforms Design and execute surveys and interviews to collect data (including participant recruitment) to address the relevant research questions. Perform statistical analysis on survey/experimental data, and Conduct thematic analysis on interview transcripts and open-ended survey responses. To lead and report research findings in a form of high-quality publications and present in international peer-reviewed conferences and journals. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of the research team to develop new herbicide compounds focusing on synthesis and characterizations of HPPD inhibitor herbicides.
