Part time 0.5FTE Continuing position Campus Independent Salary Level C from $144,266 plus 17% superannuation (Pro-rated for part time) About the position The School of Nursing and Midwifery undertakes a wide range of teaching and research programs in Nursing, Midwifery, Maternal, Family and Child Health, Ageing and Aged Care, Health Service Design, Health and Wellbeing, Time Critical Nursing, Mental Health, and Workforce. These interconnected programs combine to form Centres of Excellence based within our clinical networks and Research Centres. This is a newly created role for a Level C academic who is an endorsed Nurse Practitioner with expertise in contemporary nursing practice and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be expected to make a significant contribution to the quality and innovation of undergraduate and postgraduate education, including leadership in curriculum design, delivery, and evaluation. The role emphasises engagement in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) to enhance educational practice and student outcomes, alongside meaningful collaboration with local hospital partners to support clinical education and workforce development. Skills and Experience To be considered for this position, you will have PhD degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline areas. Hold current endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Current or recent participation in clinical practice as a nurse practitioner. Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development and subject coordination with a commitment to excellence in teaching, as evidenced by sustained high results on student feedback on teaching surveys, teaching excellence awards or through other forms of evidence. We are seeking a Research Fellow in Molecular Dynamics and Computational Chemistry to join the School of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) at the University of Southampton. The successful candidate will contribute to an interdisciplinary research programme developing computational models to understand molecular interactions relevant to antimicrobial systems, biomolecular interfaces, and catalytic processes. The project will use molecular dynamics simulations to understand molecular mechanisms of metal-based antimicrobial systems and biomolecular interactions, supporting the design of next-generation antimicrobial materials. The role will involve performing molecular dynamics simulations and computational modelling to investigate interactions between biomolecules, materials, and catalytic systems. The postholder will develop and apply advanced simulation techniques, analyse molecular simulation data, and contribute to collaborative research combining computational modelling with experimental studies. You will also contribute to research publications, collaborative research projects, and the development of future research proposals within a multidisciplinary research environment spanning engineering, materials science, and microbiology. About you You will hold a PhD in Computational Chemistry, Chemical Physics, Materials Science, Biophysics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related discipline (or equivalent professional experience). You will have experience in molecular dynamics simulations of biomolecular or materials systems, using simulation platforms such as GROMACS, NAMD, AMBER, LAMMPS, or similar tools. Experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous: Biomolecular modelling or enzyme catalysis Metal–biomolecule or catalytic system simulations Quantum mechanical methods (e.g., DFT or QM/MM) Enhanced sampling or free-energy calculations Programming or scripting for computational research (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Bash) You will be motivated to work in a multidisciplinary research environment, collaborating with experimental scientists and computational researchers to develop innovative computational approaches that support interdisciplinary research. Your next career opportunity The Equine Veterinarian will have a veterinary degree registrable in Victoria and will share responsibility for the day-to-day assessment and management of primary accession in-patient and out-patient horses at the Equine Centre, as well as provision of equine ambulatory clinical services. The position includes evaluation of emergency admissions and management of hospitalised horses outside of regular working hours (including weekends). The incumbent will work with other equine team members to ensure high quality patient care and client services, and to grow clinical caseload in support of undergraduate veterinary education. The position would suit applicants with at least two years graduated experience in mixed or equine practice, but new or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
