Budapest Business School is the largest university of applied sciences in Hungary. Originally founded in 1857 as the Pest Academy of Commerce, it is the oldest public business school in the world. When the cities of Buda and Pest merged, it was renamed Budapest Academy of Commerce. The academy was a private business school until 1949 when it was secularised by the government. In 2000 it became Budapest Business School. The university is located in Budapest, the capital and most populous city of Hungary. B The university is organised into three faculties: faculty of international management and business, faculty of finance and accountancy, and the faculty of commerce, hospitality and tourism. Within each faculty are a number of departments, all of which offer degree programmes at both undergraduate and graduate degree level. The university offers six undergraduate and three master’s courses in English, German and French. The university has so far developed partnerships with 200 institutions around the world with which it collaborates on a range of academic and scientific projects.

Be part of the world-renowned WorldPop Group at the University of Southampton, a global top 100 university (QS World Rankings 2021). WorldPop is an award winning, multi-sectoral team of researchers, technicians and project specialists working on producing data on population distributions and characteristics at high spatial resolution.  We are seeking to recruit a Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow to work on the development and implementation of methods for improving small area modelled human population estimates. The successful candidate is expected to have strong quantitative skills and experience of working with large gridded geospatial datasets. They will focus on designing approaches to process and utilise such datasets in population modelling and integrate them into WorldPop’s workflows to construct high resolution national, regional and global demographic estimates. They will explore, test and validate novel statistical and AI methods, working with partners from governments and UN agencies to big tech and satellite imagery companies. These may include derived datasets such as building footprints, geo-embeddings, or datasets derived from mobile phones and social media. Work will also involve exploration of urban characteristics and dynamics. The post holder will be expected to work within a team of researchers and partner organizations to contribute to the development and implementation of methods and impactful applications of the results. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to and lead projects from across the WorldPop portfolio. They will also lead and contribute to the preparation of high-quality publications and will also be supported to present outputs to stakeholders and at national and international conferences. Further, the individual will contribute to external engagement across the WorldPop group, providing opportunities to work with UN agencies, governments and researchers around the world. Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country   View Position Description About the Role Flinders University has an opening for a Counsellor to provide specialist support to students who have experienced gender-based violence (GBV). The role provides specialised counselling and aims to ensure students understand university processes, access necessary wellbeing support, and understand their rights and obligations. Working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team within Flinders Health, Counselling and Disability services you will provide counselling services to students, with a specific focus on providing specialised assessment, case management, and counselling/facilitation services primarily to individuals who are respondents to allegations of gender-based violence or who have engaged in gender-based violence. In this role you will also be required to: Conduct and monitor evidence-based GBV risk assessments for every disclosure or formal report, managing identified risks on an ongoing basis. Develop and monitor tailored support plans for respondents, which may include academic adjustments (e.g., class location changes) and other referrals to mitigate risk and support continued study where appropriate Providing training and education to University staff regarding GBV, wellbeing and supporting students with mental health issues. Provide professional counselling services to students experiencing issues that are impacting their wellbeing including academic, personal or mental health issues.
