About Bogomolets National Medical University
Basic information and contact details for Bogomolets National Medical University
Opened in 1840 by Tsar Nicholas I, Bogomolets National Medical University is one of the most respected medical schools in Ukraine. Located in Kyiv, it has an impressively colonnaded main building.
In addition to three medical faculties, the university has faculties for: public health and preventative medicine; mental health; dentistry; pharmacy; and physician training for the armed forces. The primary language of instruction is Ukrainian, though arrangements can be made for foreign students.
Student research circles exist in most departments – there are, for example, research circles in paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and surgery. These help students to conduct research and in-depth study in the relevant field.
Students have access to the “Medic club”, which was founded in 1950, with the aim of preserving the traditions of Ukrainian folk art.
Sports clubs include volleyball, kettleball and cheerleading.
