The Continental Evolution Research Group (CERG) specializes in constraining time-temperature histories of tectonic processes and associated mineralisation. We are revolutionizing the field of geochronology by developing new analytical methods to rapidly acquire dates within petrogenetic context. This Australian Research Council funded project focusses on the development of beta-decay geochronology applied to detrital sediments. We are seeking a motivated post-doctoral researcher to assist development and application of coupled Rb-Sr / K-Ca / Pb dating of K-bearing minerals and participate in collaborative research projects regarding the application of beta-decay geochronology. With an aim of strengthening the Remote Primary Health setting in the Northern Territory, this position provides high-level administrative, project coordination and research support to ensure effective planning, delivery and reporting of research activities.
