Our Master’s programs lead to official degrees under EU law and receive strategic guidance from a group of more than 30 leading academics, including several Nobel Laureates, on the Barcelona School of Economics Scientific Council.

Academic backgrounds
The Class of 2023 is made up of 259 students, from 57 countries, with an average age of 25 years. The most common academic backgrounds for Barcelona School of Economics  Master’s students are Economics and Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Engineering, or Social Sciences.
Students with undergraduate studies in any area who demonstrate strong quantitative skills are encouraged to apply.

The Barcelona School of Economics was founded on the idea that individual potential is realized through collaboration with talented peers. We select candidates from a wide range of perspectives, experiences, and voices. In the Class of 2023, 90% of students are from outside of Spain, and 47% of students came from outside Europe.
Work experience before the Master’s program
An education at the Barcelona School of Economics is a wise choice for both freshly graduated undergrads and those who have experience in the workforce and are looking to improve and enhance their skill set.
Around 80% of students enter the Master’s directly after their undergraduate studies. Others have professional experience at consulting firms, international organizations, and banks as well as research institutions and government agencies.
