What we're looking for  Domestic Services is one of the largest Professional Services departments in the University, comprising a diverse range of colleagues who share the same passion for delivering a high standard cleaning service to the University's community and estate.  We are looking to recruit a number of Domestic Assistants, with good experience of cleaning in professional environments, to join our team, across several of our campuses. You will work closely with the Domestic Supervisor, Assistant Domestic Services Manager, Domestic Services Manager, as well as colleagues across the Estates & Facilities Directorate and the wider University, to ensure effective and professional support for all aspects of the team’s activities. About the Job As a member of the Scholarly Communications team, you will be responsible for administering UEL’s Research Repository for research outputs, ensuring compliance with deadlines, copyright, and publisher requirements. You will provide training and assistance on Open Access, support adherence to UEL’s open access policy, external policies, and contribute to preparations for REF2029. Additionally, you will: Promote the repository service to the University community by working with the Scholarly Communications Manager, Academic Services Librarians, and the Research Excellence team to raise awareness of open access requirements across UEL. Assist in the development of repository functionality, including contributing to the enhancement of the wider Research Management System. Handle administration and record-keeping related to Transformative Agreements, Article Processing Charges, such as processing funding requests and generating regular usage reports. About You You will be able to demonstrate your understanding of Open Access principles and possess an awareness of the broader scholarly publishing environment. We are looking for someone who can work both independently and collaboratively within a team, taking initiative in your own work while recognising when to consult with colleagues. A strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service is essential, and you should be adept at using your presentation, advocacy, and digital skills to support a diverse community. Additionally, you will be expected to build your knowledge of open research and stay current with evolving policies. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Nutritional Epidemiology or a related field, with substantial experience in dietary analysis, epidemiologic study design, big data handling, and dietary pattern deduction. They must demonstrate proven expertise in nutritional epidemiology, particularly in linking dietary pattern identification to health outcomes, and preference will be given to those with specialized experience in diet and health research in large population cohorts. The appointee is expected to demonstrate both independent research capabilities and effective team collaboration, manage ongoing research projects on lifestyle monitoring and intervention, publish original research articles in high-impact journals, assist PIs in writing external competitive grants, and develop their own SEED funding applications. This position offers excellent mentorship and access to large-scale cohort data in a collaborative research environment.  A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
