The position is primarily focussed on the delivery of courses within the school’s undergraduate and postgraduate nursing or midwifery programs. You will work with guidance and direction from course coordinators. The role of tutor utilises contemporary professional/discipline-related knowledge in their teaching practice and carries out activities to develop scholarly expertise. Core Responsibilities: Under direction conduct learning activities including lectures, tutorials, assessment and provide timely feedback to students. Use a variety of pedagogical techniques (including face-to-face, online and blended learning) to foster student learning. Undertake high quality teaching as part of the teaching team, including participation in moderation of marking exercises. Incorporate contemporary professional/discipline-based knowledge in teaching activities Act as a student advisor by responding promptly to queries and directing students to appropriate supports/services. Undertake administrative functions connected to courses taught. Actively participate in meetings and committees at the discipline, program and Academic Unit level. Experience Required: Relevant and recent clinical experience. High level written and oral communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, combined with cultural sensitivity. Demonstrated ability to actively engage and educate a student group. Be capable of using the necessary digital technologies required for effective curriculum delivery. High level administrative and organisational skills. Eligibility Requirements: Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery and relevant postgraduate qualification in a nursing or midwifery specialisation together with current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia including a current practicing certificate as a Registered Nurse or Midwife. Appointment Type: Full-time, fixed-term appointment for 1 year, with a possibility of further renewal subject to funding Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde Research Fellow - Underwater Wireless Communications The Role: An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and motivated researcher to join Macquarie University's School of Engineering and contribute to the project "Secure, Long-Range Underwater Acoustic Communications Using Delay-Doppler Waveforms and Adaptive Beamforming." The successful candidate will join a high-performing research team working at the intersection of wireless communications, signal processing, delay-Doppler communications and adaptive beamforming. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with researchers at Macquarie University and the University of Melbourne, and to contribute to a project in secure, long-range underwater acoustic communications. The appointee will undertake research in waveform and algorithm design, modelling and simulation, and performance evaluation for challenging underwater acoustic communication environments. The role will also contribute to technical reporting, publications and collaborative research activities across the project team. The CORNERSTONE Photonics Innovation Centre (C-PIC) team at the University of Southampton has a shared vision: to take silicon photonics technologies from research labs to everyday life by enabling ubiquitous silicon photonics solutions. CORNERSTONE provides a silicon photonics fabrication service to researchers and innovators from across the globe, focused around our unique cleanrooms capabilities in Southampton, UK (www.cornerstone.sotonfab.co.uk). We are seeking an experienced PDK Engineer with a technical background in graphene and/or silicon photonics for our role in the EU-funded project, PIXEurope. You will be passionate about supporting cutting-edge research and development in a growing team of enthusiastic colleagues. You will be self-motivated, a skilled communicator, flexible, able to work both independently and as part of a large consortium, and to manage your time efficiently. You have good interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including both UK and EU PIXEurope consortium partners. You will be responsible for developing the Process Design Kit (PDK) and characterisation of the graphene on Silicon Photonics chips for the PIXEurope project. You will attend European project meetings and represent the project at relevant conferences and events. You will be part of a a PDK team to develop the CORNERSONE platform. You will work with the project partners and internal process fabrication team to develop the technology.
