Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) is a pioneer in engineering education in Bangladesh. The history of BUET dates back to 1876 when the Dhaka Survey School was founded. Later in 1947, it became an engineering college and gained independent university status in 1962. It is located on a compact 83.9-acre land in the heart of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
BUET offers high-quality research and education through its 18 departments under five faculties which are architecture and planning, civil engineering, engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and mechanical engineering. Six university-led institutes also focus on diverse areas of research. BUET has over 600 faculty members and over 10000 undergraduate and graduate students. In September 2027, the University will open its new ‘Clubhouse’ which has been designed to offer sport, health and fitness in a completely new and innovative way in global Higher Education. The H&F Manager is crucial to the success of this new service offer and delivering exceptional health and fitness experiences to all of our customers. As a member of the Sport Senior Leadership Team, the H&F Manager will have responsibilities that fall into four main areas and include the design, planning, training implementation and effective management of all four. These are our Gym, Group Exercise programme, Strength and Conditioning programmes and Health and Wellbeing services which from 2027 will include RESTORE, a new facility which includes Sauna, Steam room, Hydrotherapy and Cold Plunge Pools. High level interpersonal and relationship management skills, with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively between technical teams to communicate complex technical matters clearly. Extensive knowledge of network protocols and firewall technologies, with practical understanding of security standards and governance expectations, and a strong focus on operational process, documentation quality, and continuous improvement. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security+, Certified Network Security Engineer) are highly desirable.
