Founded in 2006, Bakrie University is based in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.
The university offers the following programmes at bachelor and masters level: management, accounting, communication science, informatics, business information systems, international relations, public policy, industrial engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, and food science and technology. It also offers a postgraduate programme in management.
Bakrie University has a selective admissions policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades.
Bakrie University supports both theoretical and practical learning with guest lectures, company visits and internships. With links to more than 250 companies across various types of industries including property business, telecommunications and communication media, Bakrie University students have the opportunity to do internships at all of them. Companies involved include PT. Bakrie Sumatra Plantation in the oil and gas sector and PT. Energi Mega Persada in the telecommunications sector.
On campus, you’ll find an array of facilities and services for students including computer labs, a library, photography studios, and student lounges.
Students can join one of the several student-run clubs. Clubs on offer include Bakrie University student choir, the nature lovers student family and the Bakrie University badminton student activity unit.
