Ateneo de Naga University is a private Catholic Jesuit university in Naga City, Philippines. It was established in 1940 when the Society of Jesus took over Camarines Sur Catholic Academy and renamed it Ateneo de Naga. It gained university status in 1998.
It is located in the Bagumbayan area of Naga City, with an additional campus in Pacol that supports its basic education departments.
Ateneo de Naga University has around 7,600 students across basic education, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It is organised into seven colleges covering business and accountancy, computer studies, education, humanities and social sciences, law, nursing, and science, engineering and architecture.
Research and publications are supported through the Ateneo de Naga University Press, which produces academic and regional studies. Research is also carried out across its colleges and graduate school in areas such as education, governance, science and community development.
Student life includes the student council, college based councils, academic and cultural organisations and The Pillars Publication, founded in 1961. Sports and student activities are an important part of campus life, alongside faith formation and service programmes based on Jesuit values.
