The Future Ship and System Design (FSSD) programme aims to develop strategic and innovative design capabilities for the maritime industry in Singapore and globally. We are seeking a certified Power Electrical Engineer to design, analyse, and operate high-power and high-voltage electrical systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operation across our facilities. The candicate will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI, and research team members to manage and execute the project, ensuring that all deliverables are successfully achieved. Key Competencies Design and review high-power electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, generators, and protection schemes Perform power system studies such as load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination Operate and control high-power or high-voltage equipment Lead testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems Ensure compliance with electrical safety rules, standards, and regulatory requirements Support maintenance planning, reliability improvement, and asset management Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment The employee is to communicate with any relevant internal or external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met. Any other adhoc duties assigned by supervisor. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Certification or authorisation to design and operate high-power or high-voltage electrical systems Minimum 2 years of relevant experience Key Competencies  Good knowledge in electrical equipment and power system design. Good knowledge in reliability analysis. Strong knowledge of HV and LV power systems and protection Experience with power system analysis tools Strong safety mindset and clear technical communication skills

We are seeking a Community Engagement and Programs Officer, specialising in research translation and strategic communication, to join the Centre and collaborate across the Faculty to amplify the Centre’s research impact. In this role, you will shape how the Centre communicates its evidence, insights, and achievements. Working closely with Centre members, University communications teams, and external partners, you will craft clear, compelling, and accessible narratives that promotes the centre’s research and programs. Key responsibilities will be to work with academics, research partners and colleagues across the University to: track and report on the Centre’s work and support continuous improvement in how evidence is communicated and applied support centre researchers in communicating their research via the centre website, social media, white papers and other outputs coordinate activities designed to engage a diverse range of audiences including workshops and events produce targeted materials to engage internal audiences, industry, and general publics. About you We are looking for Community Engagement & Programs Officer (Communication and Research Translation) who has: tertiary qualification in communications, or professional experience in research translation and commercialisation demonstrated experience translating academic research into clear and compelling narratives experience working in a start-up or related environment is highly desirable excellent writing, editorial and communication skills across multiple formats strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with academics, industry partners, government and community organisations demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and fast-moving deadlines, with strong organisational and time management skills experience producing high-quality written and digital content such as reports, briefs, workplace tools, web content or multimedia materials a proactive, problem-solving mindset, with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to increase the reach and impact of evidence and insights. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.  Job Responsibilities Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.• Undertake these responsibilities in the project: i. Lead and support high quality publications to disseminate the applied research outcomes. ii. Plan, organize and carry out experiments and trials in the food pilot plant to achieve the objectives iii. Manage and complete the project by presenting the findings in conferences or meetings with industrial collaborator, submitting timely data & documents, and purchase chemicals or consumables. iv. Consolidate the data in order to generate sufficient scientific evidence for meetings slides and report in conferences. v. Engage and communicate with collaborators for progress meetings and report generation to meet the grantor's requirements. The candidate is to liaise and communicate with any internal or external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met and to perform any other adhoc duties assigned by Supervisor.  Job requirements Have relevant competence in the areas of protein chemistry, analytical chemistry for amino acid profiling, polyphenol profile analysis, SDS-PAGE, and protein hydrolysis. Have a degree in Food Science and Technology, or Analytical Chemistry. Possessing a Master's or PhD degree will be advantageous Experience and Knowledge of operating HPLC, MALDI-TOF and Q-TOF Mass spectrometry for protein sequencing, carbohydrate/Sugar analysis, and polyphenol identification. Previous experience as lab-in-charge or equipment-in-charge will be advantageous. Able to communicate with industrial collaborators to share key findings, seek supports, or conducting commercial trials. Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety, and Health Regulations. Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
