Based at the Canberra Clinical School, this role sits within the broader Clinical Skills curriculum and plays a key part in shaping the early clinical training of medical students. The position oversees the delivery of Phase 1 Clinical Skills, with responsibilities including: Developing and reviewing teaching plans and documentation Delivering lectures and facilitating clinical skills teaching Designing and reviewing assessment materials Ensuring academic standards are met across the program Contributing to continuous quality improvement of the Clinical Skills theme A Level C appointee will additionally provide academic leadership across the Clinical Skills Program and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the medical curriculum. As the Finance & Operations Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening the Institute's financial and operational capability. Produce high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and performance insights using financial and non-financial KPIs, including visualisation tools such as Power BI. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, and reporting methodologies. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, facilitating collaboration and ensuring alignment with operational and strategic priorities. Lead and develop the team, overseeing resource management, performance development, compliance, and risk management within the work area. About you Postgraduate qualifications in Business or Finance or a related field, with a relevant combination of training and experience. Membership of Institute of Chartered Accountants or Certified Practicing Accountants Australia (desirable but not required). Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, and financial reporting. Strong numeracy skills with experience managing income and expenditure, budget tracking, reconciliations, and invoice processing. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with financial data to support analysis and reporting. Excellent critical thinking, attention to detail, and sound decision-making capabilities. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively. Knowledge of integrated management systems and experience of computerised leisure management systems are essential.
