Location: Any SA Rural and Remote Health Campus View Position Description Flinders Rural and Remote Health SA Flinders Rural and Remote Health SA (FRRHSA) facilitates high quality multidisciplinary health education and research in our State's regional areas. We have a strong national and international reputation for providing community-engaged inter-professional training for medical, nursing, and allied health students. This includes the SA Rural Medical (SARM) program and multidisciplinary rural clinical placements. Through this practice, we bring new and exciting opportunities to actively engage and work with rural communities.  About the Role As a Research Associate in Rural Health, you will contribute to high‑quality, applied research that strengthens the evidence base for rural and remote health workforce outcomes. Working closely with the research team and external partners, you will support the design, delivery and evaluation of research aligned with the Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training (RHMT) program and University Department of Rural Health (UDRH) priorities. The role has a strong focus on workforce development, student placements, interprofessional learning, and community‑engaged research, with particular attention to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health contexts across rural South Australia. Contribute to the design, implementation and delivery of rural and remote health research projects, including qualitative data collection, analysis, reporting and publication. Support competitive research funding applications and actively identify opportunities to expand the rural health research portfolio. Collaborate with industry, community and academic stakeholders to ensure research is responsive to local priorities and translated into practice. Assist in evaluating RHMT and UDRH programs, including student placements and workforce initiatives, to support continuous improvement and national reporting requirements. This position makes a significant contribution to the University’s strategic plan to change 10 million lives, Every One Matters, by 2035 through directly contributing to research that matters, generating high‑quality, community‑engaged evidence that strengthens rural and remote health workforce outcomes. This position can be based at any Rural and Remote Health site across SA. About You You are an emerging researcher with a strong interest in rural and remote health, bringing a solid foundation in qualitative research and a commitment to producing high‑quality, impactful outcomes. You enjoy working collaboratively across disciplines and with diverse stakeholders, and you are motivated to contribute to research that informs health workforce policy, practice and community outcomes. With well‑developed communication skills, you can balance academic rigour with practical delivery to meet project milestones and organisational priorities. Experience in qualitative research methodologies, including literature review, data collection, analysis and reporting. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage productively with academic, industry and community partners. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver research outputs on time. The Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is seeking a highly qualified full-time lecturer in Computer Networks and Security. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in this field or a closely related field and have a strong background in research. Relevant international experience is an advantage. The successful candidate will become part of an international network of universities and research institutes. Teaching Responsibilities In the role of a lecturer, the successful candidate will teach graduate courses in the Computer Science (MCS) program and undergraduate courses in the Computer Science (CSE) program. The expected workload for the in-class lecture conduct is 08 academic hours per week, totaling 240 academic hours per year (1 academic hour equals to 45 minutes). Teaching should reflect current research methods and results, and comprises lectures on two to four modules from the following areas: Computer Network - 1 Computer Network - 2 Realtime Systems IoT and Smart Devices IT Security Compulsory elective modules The named courses are subject to change upon realistic needs of the programs and joint agreement between the lecturer, relevant Academic Coordinators, and Dean/Vice Dean in charge of teaching. Courses may require conducting relevant laboratory activities and/or advising student projects. The holder of this job is also responsible for supervising bachelor's and master's theses and mentoring Ph.D. students. Research Responsibilities As a faculty member of a research-oriented university, the successful candidate is expected to significantly contribute to the scientific profile of VGU through innovation. This includes and is not limited to comprehensive activities in basic research as well as applied research in the fields of defensive architectures, cryptography & authentication, network resilience and emerging topics of computer networks (e.g., edge & fog computing, software-defined networking, AI-native networking). The ability to apply and generate externally funded research projects is highly desirable. Administrative responsibilities The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the development of the Computer Science Program by participating in administrative, marketing and other public activities of the program in consultation with the Academic Coordinator of the study program and the German partner university, namely Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. She or he is also expected to contribute actively to the academic self-administration of the Faculty of Engineering and university by being willing to stand for election to the Faculty Council, Academic Senate and/or other bodies. Qualification Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field, preferably from a well-known international university. Those in the final stages of their doctoral studies may also be considered, provided they demonstrate exceptional promise. A current title of Professor will be a plus, as experience and understanding of the German higher education system and methodology. Other requirements include: An outstanding academic record with a focus on networked systems security, communication networks and protocols, ad-hoc networks, or other areas closely related to it Proven expertise in zero trust architecture, security protocols, defensive operations, wireless security, and network architecture Strong track record of successful research activities and publications in international and peer-reviewed journals in the related area Proven teaching experience with strong self-motivation combined with a passion for teaching and research  Experience in industry is of advantage Proven excellent English proficiency: Candidates who are from non-native English-speaking countries should include one of the following valid English proficiency certificates; IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 548(PBT), TOEFL 84 (iBT), TOEFL 212 (CBT), CEFR level B2 or Aptis level C1 at the time of application submission.
