There are opportunities to develop innovative pedagogy and collaborative research. Job Requirement All applicants should hold a PhD degree in Media and Communications with a commensurable research profile. Other requirements include a firm commitment to teaching and tutoring students as well as engaging in theory-based qualitative or quantitative research. Teaching responsibilities may include courses related to communication theories, research methods, video production, graphic design, and others of the applicant’s own interests. Research and practical experience in AI and digital media-related areas will be an added asset. The Department of Public Health and Medicinal Administration (DPM) under the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at the University of Macau (http://fhs.um.edu.mo/) is now inviting applications for the position of Full, Associate, or Assistant Professor in Public Health. Candidates are expected to have strong expertise in at least one of the following areas: traditional public health, hospital management, or medicinal administration. Established in 2013, FHS is committed to providing high-quality educational programmes, conducting impactful research, and delivering dedicated services to the community. To strengthen its teaching and research in public health, FHS founded DPM, which focuses on areas including traditional public health, hospital management, medicinal administration, infectious diseases, and data science. Currently, FHS offers a Doctor of Public Health programme, while its DPM offers both the Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics and the Master of Science in Global Public Health programmes. Qualifications A doctoral degree in related biological, health and/or medical studies. Candidate for Assistant Professor should demonstrate a high potential of excellence in research and teaching and is preferable to have at least three years of postdoctoral training. The appointment at the rank of Full Professor and Associate Professor depends on qualification and achievements of the candidate, such as the established international excellence in research and scholarship as a proven record of publications in high calibre international journals. The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in 2026/2027. Remuneration A taxable annual remuneration starting MOP1,250,200 (approximately USD154,350) for the position of Full Professor; MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. Novel Fibre Reinforced Polymer–Steel–Concrete Transition Structures for Offshore Wind Turbines (FRESCO) is a new research project funded by the Supergen Offshore Renewable Energy Hub. It aims to develop a novel glass fibre-reinforced polymer (GFRP)–steel–concrete tower-to-monopile transition structure for offshore wind turbines, with a focus on improving structural efficiency, durability, and ease of installation. Your work will include the development of advanced numerical models of the transition system, alongside the testing of a scaled prototype structure to demonstrate proof of concept. You will lead the technical activities related to modelling and experimental testing, including the design of test programmes and interpretation of results.
