At the Centre for Teacher Education (ZLB), we are working to bundle and further develop the various initiatives to improve the quality of teacher education. Together with the faculties and centres involved in teacher education and the universities of teacher education within the North-East Network, future teachers are prepared for the changing needs of a modern school and are enabled to contribute to shaping the learning and living environment of schools on the basis of scientific expertise.  Your personal sphere of play: The position is located in the field of Educational Sciences at the Center for Teacher Education (Chair of School Pedagogy with Special Consideration of Social, Linguistic and Cultural Diversity). The department deals with questions of school participation, inclusion and equal opportunities. We investigate how education systems, schools and teaching create conditions that can promote or limit the learning, well-being and development of children and young people. In doing so, we look at individual development processes as well as institutional and structural factors that shape educational paths. Our research is multi-perspective and interdisciplinary. It combines pedagogical, psychological and sociological approaches and examines education in all its complexity. The position is limited to 1 year. Your personal sphere of influence: The research group “Foundations of Cryptography” within the research group “Theory and Applications of Algorithms” at the department of Computer Science focuses on provable security of cryptographic schemes. We develop new security definitions which match practical applications, explore complexity-theoretic relations, develop novel, sophisticated proof techniques, and design schemes that provably satisfy strong security guarantees. In the current project (see WWTF Projekt FARCry) we explore the foundations and applications of resource-restricted cryptography. We search for a university assistant praedoc to strengthen our team and help us make the digital world safer. Health and Social Sciences Cluster Singapore Institute of Technology We are seeking a motivated and capable Research Assistant to join an exciting translational research project on spinal sarcopenia in older adults, with a focus on muscle degeneration, senescent progenitors, and regenerative failure. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across clinical research, functional assessment, imaging analysis, and laboratory investigation in a multidisciplinary academic environment. The successful candidate will support a funded research project that aims to generate clinically relevant insights into ageing, muscle health, and spine-related conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are passionate about meaningful research and wish to build strong experience in applied human and translational studies.
