Amref International University was created by Amref Health Africa, which aims to provide mobile medical services. 
It is based in Nairobi. 
Students can study across schools of medical science, nursing, community health and health systems management and development, physiotherapy and the International Training Centre which offers six diploma courses.
Degrees are offered in health records and information management, physiotherapy, community health practice and health systems management and development, while nursing, along with midwifery and productive health, is offered at both entry and upgrade levels.

Description

As a pioneer of medical education of Macau, the Faculty of Medicine will continue to adhere to its university motto in developing and optimizing its medical education, namely: “Dedication to practical studies, enhancement of knowledge, ability and quality humanity and excellence”. Qualifications


	An earned Doctorate Degree in related discipline with medical degree (MBBS/MD preferred).
	Proven university teaching experience in related disciplines and strong experience in teaching and research (with overseas experience would be an advantage).

Remuneration and appointment rank offered will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification, professional experience and current position. Applications are invited for appointment as Professor/Associate Professor on tenure terms or tenure-track Assistant Professor in Philosophy in the School of Humanities (Ref.: 533616), to commence in August or September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. Appointment as Assistant Professor will be made on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Philosophy. The position is open to all areas of specialization, but applicants must have an interest in – and commitment to – pursuing teaching and research in philosophy or ethics of AI.

The appointee is expected to develop a vigorous, independent research programme, to excel in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and curriculum development, and to handle the usual non-teaching duties. The principal aim of the post is to undertake evidence syntheses that are identified as priorities by the Evidence Synthesis Programme of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), for a range of health care, public health and social care topics. These evidence syntheses will use a variety of methods, including standard systematic reviews but might also include living reviews, qualitative evidence synthesis and some using more complex methods such as individual participant data or network meta-analyses.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new vision for evidence synthesis in the UK, as a member of the Aberdeen Belfast Evidence Collaboration (ABEC) NIHR Evidence Synthesis Group. The Research Fellow will be an active member of the project team that is a joint activity between Queen's University Belfast and the University of Aberdeen. They will also have the opportunity to engage with others in the Centre for Public Health who are working on evidence synthesis in a very wide range of topics.

Research Manager (at the rank of Senior Research Assistant or Post-doctoral Fellow) in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 536902), to commence from September 2026 until August 31, 2027, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess (i) a Master’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science or equivalent, with 3 years’ related work experience, or a Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline; (ii) solid statistical and computing skills; (iii) effective communication skills in both written and oral Chinese (mainly Cantonese) and English; and (iv) the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team to conduct educational research. Relevant research experience in educational settings will be an advantage.

The appointee will work with the Principal Investigator to conduct research in a predominantly independent manner. Responsibilities will include conducting systematic reviews of literature and focus-group interviews in schools admitting multicultural students at pre-primary and primary levels. They will be responsible for developing study designs, overseeing the timeline of project research outcomes, data collection, management, analysis and interpretation, preparing research reports and research papers, training research assistants, and performing other duties as assigned.

The Faculty of Psychology at the University of Vienna comprises four Departments as well as the Psychological Outpatient Unit. The Differential Psychology and Psychological Assessment Unit is a part of the Department for Developmental and Educational Psychology.

Research topics of the Unit focus particularly on (i) cognitive abilities, their bases, correlates, and (intra- and interindividual) changes over time, (ii) the development, application, and evaluation of psychological test (esp. objective personality tests), as well as (iii) the validity of empirical study effects. Our methodological approaches include quantitative analyses of cross-sectional and longitudinal data, research syntheses-based approaches (especially meta-analyses), as well as IRT-based (experimental) methods.
