Working closely with the Director, you'll identify new business opportunities and product development that contribute to the financial sustainability of pathways programs, while maintaining academic integrity and compliance. This includes expanding enrolment opportunities through the development of transnational education and innovative domestic pathway models that support sustainable growth and access. These efforts will be facilitated and underpinned by the proactive development of impactful domestic and international partnerships, articulation agreements and transnational education partnerships. You'll also drive the effective implementation of pathway initiatives, oversee day-to-day operations across the directorate and ensure that programs are delivered to a high academic, regulatory and student-experience standard, that reflect and uphold ACU's Catholic identity, values and commitment to equity, inclusion and the dignity of every learner. To be successful, you'll possess a comprehensive understanding of tertiary education and pathway sector compliance requirements and academic governance frameworks, coupled with a master's degree in business, education, leadership or a closely related discipline (or equivalent experience). Key to your impact will be in your ability to provide strategic advice and leadership to improve the financial performance and long-term sustainability of pathway programs through sound business planning and evidence-based decision-making. Join the Department of Psychological Sciences in 2026 Full-time, ongoing position at our Hawthorn campus Academic Level C/D + 17% super and staff benefits About the Role We are seeking an outstanding academic to join our Department of Psychological Sciences within as a Senior Lecturer (Level C) or Associate Professor (Level D) to contribute and provide academic and professional leadership across Swinburne’s psychology programs, with a particular focus on advancing high-quality teaching, professional training, and research within the Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental Psychology) and other postgraduate psychology courses. In this role, you will contribute to or lead excellence in teaching through evidence-based pedagogy; curriculum innovation; clinical supervision; and the ongoing development and delivery of the Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental Psychology). You will contribute to internal and external accreditation processes and support staff capability building, promote high-quality and consistent learning experiences for students, and contribute to Departmental and School initiatives and strategic priorities. As the Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor, you will also be expected to lead an innovative and impactful research program. This will include producing high-quality scholarly outputs, supervising HDR students and developing and managing industry partnerships that strengthen the Department’s and School’s research profile. We are looking for a person with a good Honours Degree in Geography, Geology, Anthropology, Archaeology, Forensic Science, Environmental Science or a similar subject, to work as a part-time Research Assistant with Professor Hunt in a laboratory-based project on the geoarchaeology of the Neanderthal “Flower Burials” at Shanidar Cave, Iraq. The contract is for six months. The work will involve the analysis of sediments, recording of laboratory results, data entry and contribution to the drafting of reports and research papers. Full training will be given in the sediment analysis techniques necessary for the work. You should be an enthusiastic and highly organised individual who will be expected to participate in all aspects of the programme of work, including: the day-to-day running of the research project; sediment granulometry and geochemistry, data recording, entry and interpretation; communicating with Professor Hunt and the wider Shanidar Project team, and assisting with the production of internal reports and manuscripts for publication.
