Amity University was founded in 2003 as a private research higher education institution based in the city of Noida in northern India.

As a young institution, Amity Univesity offers modern facilities, air-conditioned amphitheatre style classrooms and high-tech laboratories. It has separate accommodation available on campus for male and female students, as well as plentiful recreational and sporting facilities. Its various libraries house more than a million books, periodicals, national and international journals.

Amity offers over 250 undergraduate programmes, including law, journalism and sciences, as well as a wide range of courses at postgraduate level. Its educational framework is rooted in values such as patriotism, courage and respect for elders and the university also places an emphasis on the development of self-confidence.

A unique feature of Amity is initiatives such as the "Mentor-Mentee Concept" that ensures a constant interaction between faculty and students, with a member of staff assigned to counsel small groups of students on academic and personal concerns.

Another is its programme of activity to ensure continuous interaction with industry leaders, including CEOs, who are regularly invited to share their experiences of business and instil best practices within the university’s student body, lending them an edge in the graduate employment market.

Amity prides itself on being an innovation-driven university with over 700 patents filed by faculty in recent years.

Despite the university’s young age, it has produced an alumni of around 60,000, including photographer Smita Sharma, HSBC VP Manu Sharma, and businessman Anurag Pathak.

We are undertaking a technical revamp of our website and are looking for a technical test engineer to join us to help with the transformation. This is an exciting time to be joining the University of Southampton as we are looking to rebuild, consolidate and rearchitect large parts of our sites to meet best practices for technical design, content and accessibility. About the Role This role will work across our website estate looking to ensure that as we consolidate platforms and improve technical debt, design and reliability we have a fully formed suite of tests. We are looking for someone with a wide range of testing skills from Linux and cloud platforms experience through to frontend and dedicated Drupal and PHP testing. If you have any or all of these then this role may be for you. At SIT, Robotics and Embodied AI faculty will have the opportunity to shape and lead applied research in a unique real-world environment. Located within Punggol Digital District (PDD), SIT’s purpose-built campus serves as a living lab for precinct-scale robotics test-bedding, where faculty can work with government and industry partners to develop, validate and deploy next-generation robotic systems safely and at scale. Candidates will contribute to industry-relevant research in embodied AI, simulation and digital twins, cybersecurity, robot operations and related areas, with a strong emphasis on translation into real-world applications. Through collaborations with leading robot companies and end-users, faculty will help solve practical deployment challenges, build shared digital infrastructure, and train the next generation of robotics talent for Singapore’s future economy. Responsibilities: Lead and contribute to applied research projects with industry partners and government agencies. Develop and teach Robotics and Embodied AI courses within the cluster’s programmes and across relevant interdisciplinary modules. Supervise Industry Doctorate/Masters and capstone projects in collaboration with domain faculty and industry partners. Contribute to SIT’s continuing education offerings. Serve as embodied AI mentor for existing SIT domain faculty through joint projects and co-supervision mechanisms. Qualifications: PhD in Robotics, Mechanical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant domain with demonstrated embodied AI research experience. Equivalent industry experience may also be considered.
