We are seeking a Lecturer (Education) Level B to support student education in the Doctor of Dental Medicine program at the Sydney Dental School and to contribute to strengthening the School's clinical and educational governance framework. About you a dental qualification and current general registration as a dentist with the Dental Board of Australia (AHPRA), with a PhD (completed or near completion) considered desirable experience in delivering high quality teaching in dentistry across all student levels, supported by teaching and research in a tertiary environment. Experience in delivering clinical teaching essential. demonstrated success in designing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives that enhance student outcomes ability to collaborate with discipline heads and course coordinators to develop, deliver and mark teaching materials and assessments experience in supervising or mentoring colleagues and/or coordinating team activities to support professional growth and effective teamwork demonstrated excellence in research, scholarly activities relevant to the discipline, and educational design and practice capacity to undertake high quality research studies and publish in recognised journals in line with the School's minimum requirements strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with a collegiate, team oriented nature and experience working collaboratively highly developed organisational and planning skills, with the proven ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines. Description Political scientists at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) are looking to hire a full-time junior or assistant research Scientist – equivalent to a research assistant/associate at other institutions – to start in September 2026. The position entails data management, replication, and visualization as well as literature reviews and light text editing. There might be an opportunity for co-authorships for a qualified candidate. A successful candidate must have advanced data analysis skills in R and Stata, experience with data visualization in R, and GIS data work in R and/or ArcGIS. The candidate must be self-motivated, an independent thinker, fluent in English, and have well-developed writing skills. The position is open to applicants with a master’s degree in any social science discipline, quantitative data analysis, or statistics, and with less than 5 years of research experience in the relevant field, and/or PhD degree with any level of experience. It is expected that the Research Assistant/Fellow will work with an increasing degree of autonomy as skills and experience develop. This role focuses on advancing research in two-dimensional materials and ultra-thin material systems, with an emphasis on synthesis, heterostructure integration, and device development for electronic, photonic, and sensing applications. The position involves designing, fabricating, and experimentally validating novel material architectures using advanced nanofabrication and characterization techniques, translating fundamental research into functional prototypes. The successful candidate will produce high-quality research outputs, contribute to competitive funding applications, and effectively communicate findings through publications, reports, and presentations. The role also includes mentoring students, supporting collaborative research initiatives, and engaging with stakeholders. Strong initiative and technical leadership are essential, including the ability to plan and execute research activities, troubleshoot experimental challenges, and maintain laboratory capabilities while ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
