Where you will you be: The position will be in the Organization unit inside the Department of Accounting, Innovation & Strategy. The department consists of approximately 45 people of 11 different nationalities. Members of the department have published in international top journals, including the Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Management Science, Organization Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and the Strategic Management Journal. We regularly host conferences and seminars featuring colleagues from around the globe.The successful candidate will work closely with Thorsten Grohsjean, who joined the University of Vienna as a Professor of Organization in January 2026, after more than 9 years in the Department of Management & Technology at Bocconi University in Milan, first as an assistant and then as a tenured associate professor. He received his PhD from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and a Diploma in Management from the University of Mannheim.In his research, Thorsten Grohsjean explores how organizations shape their employees and how these imprints drive individuals’ decisions, in turn affecting organizational performance. He studies this indirect linkage across two streams. The first examines how organizational affiliations shape interpersonal relationships, affecting individuals’ dyadic interactions within and across organizations. The second focuses on resource allocation among competing alternatives. Specifically, he studies how organizational features, such as the structure of the decision-making process and the composition of the decision panel, shape the selection of strategic alternatives. Most of his research uses large-scale quantitative data analysis alongside semi-structured interviews. He uses unique data that he collects by scraping multiple data sources, most notably on the video game development industry and various sports (e.g., ice hockey, basketball, and soccer), or by collaborating with organizations. Recently, he has also relied on laboratory experiments. What you will be doing: They work on their dissertation and its completion. In addition to their research, candidates assist with and participate in administrative tasks and teaching activities at all levels (independent teaching within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement), including evaluation measures and quality assurance. What we expect from you: Applicants should have completed their Master/Diploma degrees (or be very near completion) by the time of their application as a Master degree/Diploma is required to finalize the contract. We are looking for graduates from: Renowned economics programs: e.g., M.Sc. in Economics  Applicants should be excited about pursuing a career in academic research in the social sciences. A particular interest in behavioral and experimental economics is a definite plus. The main goal is to design and characterise Periodically-Poled Lithium Niobate (PPLN) and Thin Film Lithium Niobate (TFLN) waveguides for single- and paired-photon generation at application-driven wavelengths for quantum-enhanced imaging, computing, and networks. Description The Research Center on Stability, Instability and Turbulence (SITE) a center of the Research Institute, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate to work in the fluid mechanics laboratory for experimental fluid dynamics.  SITE is inviting applications for fully-funded postdoctoral research associate positions. SITE is highly interdisciplinary and aims to develop novel enabling technology on hydrodynamic stability analysis that has applications in the study of the development of singularities, the long-time behavior of complex systems, the formation of spatial patterns, the transition between stability and instability, and the first steps of transition towards turbulence that appear in several disciplines across science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and innovation.
