Responsibilities: The appointee is expected to (i) teach a master-level course (Social Networks in the Contemporary Chinese Society); (ii) provide assistance in the design, preparation, and revision of syllabuses, assessments, and teaching materials; and (iii) perform other related duties of the course as assigned by the Academy Director. Requirements: Applicants should have a relevant PhD degree with a strong background in sociology or a related field. A proven track record in teaching at the tertiary level is preferred. Fluent English and good organisational and communication skills are required. The successful candidate will deliver outstanding teaching through contemporary pedagogy, diverse delivery modes and innovative learning approaches that enrich the student experience. They will supervise Higher Degree by Research candidates, including doctoral students, to successful completion and play a pivotal role in growing the University’s PhD cohort in Optometry.
