Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) is a public institution founded in 2015. It is named in honour of the Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad, one of the sultans of the Seljuk Empire. The university holds the distinction of being the first state university established in a Turkish town, as opposed to in a provincial capital. 

Located in Alanya, a city on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast roughly 135 km east of Antalya, the university’s campus sits in Kestel, a rapidly developing district. 

Academically, the university comprises a wide range of faculties, including medicine, dentistry, education, economics, administrative and social sciences, engineering, aviation and space sciences, health sciences, sport sciences, art, design and architecture, and tourism. 

There is also a Graduate Institute, as well as multiple vocational schools and language centres, which support a broad portfolio of academic pathways. 

It has a lively campus culture featuring festivals, clubs, seminars, exhibitions, job fairs, technical trips, concerts, and entrepreneurship contests. 

The university hosts international students from across the globe, teaching in Turkish and English, as well as options for German, Russian and Arabic study.

The appointee will be responsible for data collection, data management and analysis, preparation of research reports and high-quality manuscripts, the development of proposals and research design, the presentation of research findings at local and international conferences, the supervision of junior research staff in academic and research activities, and other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator. (Ref.: 536659) Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will participate in clinical research. Major duties include, but are not limited to: Development of AICU Biobank Assisting in the daily operations of clinical trials (e.g. patient recruitment, follow-up, and submission of IRB applications); Managing databases and conducting literature reviews; Collecting and analysing data under supervision; and Providing administrative and dissemination support for research projects. Requirements Applicants should possess: A PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Biostatistics, Nursing, or related disciplines; or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of biomedical research or clinical experience; Proven track record in conducting high-quality biological research. Demonstrated history of writing reports and scientific articles based on research results. A strong work ethic, with self-motivation and good organisational skills; The ability to multitask effectively and work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Candidates with a postgraduate research degree and/or prior exposure to clinical work in a hospital setting will also be preferred.
