The Psychology and Child & Human Development (PCHD) Department is dedicated to developing evidence-based competencies in psychologists, counsellors, educators, and education specialists. We invite applications for an Assistant Professor / Associate Professor in Assessment and Evaluation. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching across undergraduate, graduate students and professional education programmes in the areas of assessment, evaluation, applied measurement, applied statistics, research methodology, or psychometrics.  Requirements Applicants must have: A PhD or equivalent qualifications or will be acquiring the qualifications at the time of application in the area of evaluation and/or academic/psychological assessment. At least 4 years of an excellent teaching record, including innovative approaches and use of educational technology. Demonstrated ability and commitment to teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. The following will be advantageous: Experience supervising graduate students (master’s and/or doctoral level). A record of practice-based or applied research with publications in reputable international journals. Success in securing research funding as Principal Investigator. Leadership or administrative experience in academic settings. Familiarity with, or ability to adapt to, diverse education systems and cultural contexts. Willingness to contribute to interdisciplinary teaching and collaboration. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with a veterinary degree and MRCVS for two part-time (0.5 FTE) Lecturer posts, one to act as Student Engagement Lead, and one to act as Learning Resources Lead. Successful applicants will join a team of fellow professionals within the School of Veterinary Medicine committed to providing excellence in teaching for the benefit of a new generation of vets.  The roles will involve a range of responsibilities including: Delivery of high-quality, creative and evidence-based teaching activities, critically reviewing learning approaches, and implementing innovative assessment and pedagogical practices Creation and maintenance of engaging learning materials and digital teaching resources Coordination and quality assurance of teaching and student support provision while contributing to curriculum development and programme innovation Support of the School’s attendance monitoring processes through accurate record keeping, auditing of attendance data, and working closely with academic staff and students Engagement with pedagogical research and collaborative academic projects to ensure teaching practice remains current, relevant, and responsive to sector developments. The full time equivalent salary for this role ranges from £37,694 - £56,535 plus an additional 10% payment for continued RCVS membership. As this is a part time role, the pro rata 0.5 FTE salary (including 10% payment) ranges from £20,731 to £31,094 per annum.
