Description Political scientists at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) are looking to hire a full-time junior or assistant research Scientist – equivalent to a research assistant/associate at other institutions – to start in September 2026. The position entails data management, replication, and visualization as well as literature reviews and light text editing. There might be an opportunity for co-authorships for a qualified candidate. A successful candidate must have advanced data analysis skills in R and Stata, experience with data visualization in R, and GIS data work in R and/or ArcGIS. The candidate must be self-motivated, an independent thinker, fluent in English, and have well-developed writing skills. The position is open to applicants with a master’s degree in any social science discipline, quantitative data analysis, or statistics, and with less than 5 years of research experience in the relevant field, and/or PhD degree with any level of experience. Candidates with qualifications in or familiarity with political science are preferred. This is a full-time position based at NYU’s campus in Abu Dhabi. Description NYUAD Experimental High Energy Physics group is searching for a post-doctoral associate to join the planned group's efforts to be involved in the ATLAS experiment as part of the UAE-ATLAS cluster, composed of three UAE institutions. Candidates must demonstrate experience in experimental high energy physics. The group will be contributing to the Physics Modeling (MC software, MC validation and Pileup modeling), the MET High-Level Trigger validation, optimization and performance studies, and to the heterogeneous computing where the focus will be to work on to the current efforts on accelerator developments towards the HL-LHC. Expertise in trigger development, performance and optimization and/or the ATLAS computing model is preferred. The selected candidate will work in the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider.
