Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) was founded with the aim of providing a centre for modern higher education based on Islamic principles and values. It was established as a university in 2006. 
The main campus site is in Kuala Lumpur, but the institution also has a strong online programme to serve students worldwide. 
The university has faculties of Islamic sciences, language, finance and administrative sciences, computer and information technology, and education. With about 100 teaching staff, the university offers more than 40 academic programmes in various disciplines and fields.
MEDIU offers undergraduate degrees in the arts and humanities (focused on Islamic sciences, languages and teaching); business and management; engineering; and technology (focused on computer sciences and information technology).
At the postgraduate level, there are master’s programmes in Islamic studies, languages and literature, business and administration, engineering and technology, and education. Students can also pursue PhDs in Islamic studies, languages, business and management, economics, ICT, and education.
Students, including international ones, may apply for a range of scholarships, and they can join a range of student clubs and organisations.

1. A distinguished national and/or international track record, commensurate with career stage, of significant professional performances and recordings, in a variety of repertoires and professional performing organisations and/or settings, including orchestras and chamber music.

Your new job:

As a university assistant (pre doc), you will complement the team around Univ.-Prof. Lukas Nickel. Our research and teaching focusses on the art history of East Asia.

The employment duration is 3 years. We are looking to fill a Senior Scientist position as Head of the Outpatient Unit for Research Teaching and Practice (FLPA) at the Faculty of Psychology.

The FLPA combines research, teaching, and practical application in the areas of psychological diagnostics as well as clinical-psychological and health-psychological prevention and intervention across the lifespan. Your future tasks:

As Head of the Outpatient Unit for Research, Teaching and Practice, you will take on the following tasks:


	Organizing and managing the day-to-day operations of the outpatient unit
	Participation in the expansion of psychotherapeutic services offered by the outpatient unit and in negotiations with health insurance companies
	Providing professional supervision and support for existing areas/services of the FLPA (e.g., testing and counseling center)
	Involvement in the planning of specialized training and continuing education programs
	If applicable, own psychotherapeutic services in the outpatient clinic in connection with practice-oriented teaching in the field of psychotherapy
	Optionally: conducting your own research


This is part of your personality:


	Degree in Psychology
	Doctorate/PhD
	Training as a psychotherapist in an evidence-based method (preferably in behavioral therapy)
	Experience in psychotherapeutic practice

As a predoc university assistant, you will join the team of Prof. Dr. Lena Foljanty, Chair for Globalisation and Legal Pluralism, at the Department of Legal and Constitutional History. The chair’s research deals with globalisation processes in law from a historical perspective. We are particularly interested in PhD projects on colonial and decolonial processes, colonial epistemologies, transculturality, and critical examinations of Eurocentric historiography. Projects that bridge the gap between historical and current challenges are also welcome, provided that they include a legal history aspect.
