Al-Hawash Private University 

Originally established in 2007 as Al-Hawash Private University for Pharmacy and Cosmetology, Al-Hawash Private University is a non-profit private institution.

Renamed Al-Hawash Private University in 2012, the institution has expanded its academic scope beyond its original offerings to encompass a wide range of professional disciplines.

The university is located in Wadi Al-Nasara, in western Syria, close to the Lebanese border. 

Academically, the university is comprised of eight faculties: medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, cosmetology and healthcare, engineering, nursing, entrepreneurship and law. Within each faculty are different departments, offering a range of degree programmes at both undergraduate and graduate level. 

A notable feature of the university is the Dr. Farzat Ayoub University Hospital, which serves as both a healthcare facility and a clinical training centre for the university's medical students. Opened in 2020, the hospital is equipped with a wide range of advanced medical technologies, including cardiac catheterisation facilities, CT imaging systems, endoscopy units, dialysis equipment and specialised diagnostic services. Through its modern facilities and multidisciplinary medical team, the hospital provides students with valuable practical training opportunities while contributing to healthcare provision in the region.
