This role will focus on human-oriented technical information retrieval or natural language processing (NLP) research. Set within the Interaction, Technology and Information Discipline, and reflecting a strong human-computer interaction orientation, the successful candidate will also collaborate closely with the Data Science and AI Discipline. Their work will contribute to one or more of the School's overarching themes, including responsible computing and digital health. As the successful candidate you will have a track record of publishing in key outlets appropriate to their discipline-for example, SIGIR, TOIS and IP&M for information retrieval, or ACL, EMNLP and FAccT for NLP. At both levels, the successful candidate will contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School.
