About the Role

The Operations Manager contributes to strategic priorities and leads the operational management of the Faculty of Health Unit. The role is responsible for supporting the Faculty General Manager (FGM) to:


	Build and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, effective communication and professional development within the faculty. 
	Provide high level advice to the FGM and senior faculty leadership, and acts as their delegate when needed.
	Develop and maintain strong collaborative links across the faculty and the university to support effective and efficient planning and faculty operational management.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will need to demonstrate your suitability to the following selection requirements:


	A strategic thinker with an ability to analyse complex issues, assess impacts, and develop feasible solution.
	Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders including excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, relationship building and influencing skills together with high level of diplomacy and discretion.
	Highly developed organisational and time management skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to prioritise own workload, to work consistently within busy schedules and to meet deadlines.
	Significant and broad knowledge of the University’s policies and procedures, particularly in relation to interpreting policy, or an ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.
	Previous successful experience in senior management role relevant to the Faculty/Division context, particularly demonstrating effective planning and resource management skills including demonstrated ability to manage workflows, multiple complex projects and meeting deadlines.

Remuneration/Salary

Base Salary Range: $143,080 to $149,894 per annum (HEW 9)

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full time and appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis for 15 months (to cover staff parental leave until January 2028). The successful candidate will be expected to work 3-4 days onsite at UTS Broadway Sydney campus, with some hybrid work arrangements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

	Maintain all systems, including statutory inspection and testing where required, to meet current legislative requirements.
	Ensure failing plant or assets are reported to the Helpdesk and plant areas are maintained in good condition.
	Deliver an effective and timely response to maintenance demands across the University in a timely and cost-effective manner.
	Ensure compliance with all University Health and Safety and Environmental systems and procedures, and take an active part in the development of these policies
	Ensure the use of equipment and materials in delivery of maintenance services are appropriate and meet current legislative standards.
	Keep up to date with related legislation and developments, attending courses and passing all necessary exams to maintain professional accreditation.
	Carry out multi-skilled tasks, where relevant, such as (but not restricted to) mechanical isolation and fault finding, electrical isolations, minor carpentry, redecoration repairs linked to maintenance and small works.
	Complete all administrative work associated with departmental management systems, including the completion of work records, timesheets, stores issues, estimates and health & safety records. Utilise Building Logbook to record all maintenance visits and any relevant defective information and repairs. All defects to be reported immediately to the help desk for further action.
	Must be computer literate and work well with computer/tablet systems

About the Chemical & Biochemical Sciences Green Process Engineering (CBS)

The Chemical & Biochemical Sciences Green Process Engineering Department (CBS) is a component of the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P). The main objective of CBS is to set up a distinctive research-teaching program, of international level, to meet the research and teaching challenges of UM6P, on green and environmental chemistry applied to all aspects of chemical sciences: organic and inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, chemical biology, biochemical and thermal reactions.

Research at CBS is organized around several major areas, which aim to answer challenging industrial questions, from complex chemical and biochemical reactions to scale-up and validation of process engineering. CBS projects aim at an in-depth understanding of the molecular mechanisms of all transformations to propose new original alternatives in terms of efficiency, environmental friendliness, and sustainability.

Job Description

The CBS department at UM6P is seeking a highly motivated and qualified researcher for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in Inorganic Chemistry. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to advancing the department's research initiatives and supporting mission of research excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:


	Design and conduct research projects in inorganic chemistry, focusing on areas such as in inorganic chemistry, materials synthesis, or catalysis.​
	Synthesize and characterize inorganic compounds or materials using techniques such as X-ray diffraction, NMR spectroscopy, and electron microscopy.​
	Analyse experimental data, interpret results, and contribute to the development of new hypotheses and research directions.​
	Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals and present research findings at national and international conferences.​
	Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams within the department and with external partners to enhance research outcomes.​


Candidate Criteria


	PhD degree in Chemistry, with a specialization in inorganic chemistry or a closely related area, is required.

About the opportunity

The Clinical Research Midwife supports the clinical trial process, from planning to execution, ensuring a seamless transition through all stages.  The midwife will support the HEaT inform study being conducted in the climate chamber at The University of Sydney and investigating pregnant women's physiological responses to different temperature conditions. They handle data capture, verification, and overall adherence to standards while fostering relationships with research staff and stakeholders. They ensure Good Clinical Practice and that every aspect of the trial meets the highest ethical and scientific standards.  Provide clinical care within scope of registration and professional practice, where required as part of the study protocol, including responding to medical events or emergencies during study activities.

Reporting to Professor Adrienne Gordon, your key responsibilities will be to:


	support the end-to-end clinical trial process, assisting with the planning, initiation, and execution of trials, and ensuring smooth operations
	provide clinical care within scope of registration and professional practice, as required under the study protocol
	capture data and verification for clinical trials, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations, in accordance with ethics guidelines and workplace health and safety regulations, preparing materials for committee submissions
	build productive relationships with research staff, trial sponsors, and external vendors, facilitating effective communication and collaboration

	tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience in midwifery practice
	current Registered Midwife with APHRA with post graduate midwifery experience.
	previous experience in research with a focus on management of clinical studies/trials
	demonstrated commitment to professional development
	an understanding of issues related to adverse obstetric outcomes: particularly in relation to fetal growth restriction, pre-eclampsia, preterm delivery and stillbirth
	experience with antenatal patient interaction
	demonstrated understanding and experience in complying with Good Clinical Practice, regulatory, ethical, privacy and other relevant guidelines.
	demonstrated experience working across multidisciplinary teams and ability to build effective relations with colleagues and stakeholders
	excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes
	possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with day to day operational matters
	experience using RedCap software for data capture
	understanding of research ethics and relevant aspects of Work Health and Safety Policy.
