Founded only in 2019, Tashkent Metropolitan University is an incredibly young university. Their mission statement is to be a leading institution of higher education in the region and contribute to the development of Uzbekistan.
Tashkent Metropolitan University is in the Tashkent region located in the northeastern part of the country, between the Syr Darya River and the Tien Shan Mountains.
Despite being a young university, Tashkent Metropolitan has nine separate faculties, which include a medical school, dental school, college of nursing and college of architecture.
The university’s core mission is to ensure the best training is available for the country’s next generation of doctors, engineers, scientists and architects.
Tashkent Metropolitan can provide students with state-of-the-art facilities to facilitate their learning experience. Many of the degree programmes, particularly those that are science-led, place an emphasis on lab sessions and hands-on workshops with direct research applications, providing incomparable experience for students.

With the support of its founder, Tashkent Metropolitan University provides several types of scholarships for students. Merit-based scholarship is available for applicants who obtain high scores in the entrance examination, while academic scholarships are available each semester for current students who obtain high scores in their taught courses.

Join the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service (USAIS) as a British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreter and Deaf Services Advisor and make a meaningful impact in the lives of cochlear implant users and their families. We have 2 part-time (21 hours) permanent vacant posts. As a BSL Interpreter, you will play a vital role in supporting Deaf patients and their families throughout their cochlear implant journey—from assessment and surgery to rehabilitation and follow-up care. You’ll work closely with audiologists, rehabilitationist, ENT consultants, and other professionals to ensure clear, culturally sensitive communication at every stage. Description The Micro- and Nanoscale Bioengineering Lab (MNBL) at New York University Abu Dhabi is seeking to recruit a research assistant to study various human diseases using an organ/organoid-on-a-chip approach. Applicants with a strong background in designing and fabricating microfluidic devices and cell culture are encouraged to apply. Research in the MNBL focuses on designing and fabricating microphysiological systems to study various diseases affecting multiple human organs in vitro. Our project involves collaborations with the faculty of Bioengineering and Biology at NYUAD. Responsibilities of the position include growing cells in organ-on-a-chip microfluidic devices, characterizing them using downstream analysis such as bioimaging and omics analysis, and testing new potential drugs on these cells. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment comprising PhD-level scientists, graduate students, and undergraduate students, thereby acquiring valuable skills in writing manuscripts and establishing collaborations across disciplines.
