Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in Sculpture (23241186) The Academy now invites applications for full-time faculty positions of Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor in Sculpture, to enrich its teaching, research, and practice in the related areas with innovation, creativity and diversified pedagogical and research approaches. Responsibilities: Operate independently at professional level within a fully equipped Sculpture Studio; Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses with interdisciplinary, experimental and expanded perspectives, including but not limited to additive sculpture of clay, plaster and bronze casting, subtractive sculpture of wood and stone, Fibreglass Sculpture, and any new form of sculpture building through digital technology, etc.; Supervise individual student projects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; Work alongside other staff in the Academy and take an active part in organising and developing studio facilities and student projects, and in coordinating associated programmes (workshops, guest lectures, conferences, exhibitions, screenings, etc.); Conduct innovative research projects, secure extramural funding, and publish work actively in formats/venues as appropriate for their outputs; and Carry out administrative duties of the Academy as required. Requirements: Hold preferably a PhD, or MFA degree or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline; Possess a breadth and depth of practical skillsets and knowledge relevant to the area(s); Demonstrate keen interest and strong commitment to teaching, practice and research; and Have a solid academic, professional and research track record. Records of successful grant applications or project funding bids will be considered as an advantage. Successful candidates will have access to facilities, studios and workshops as well as the broader and expanding research platform at the Academy, the School and the University. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years commencing September 2026. Re-appointments thereafter will be subject to performance and mutual agreement. Outstanding candidates at Associate Professor or Professor rank may be considered for tenure on appointment. Distinguished candidates with strong academic credentials and outstanding academic leadership capabilities will be considered at the rank of Professor. Job Description SCHOOL OF CHINESE MEDICINE Multiple Senior Research Assistant positions are available in the Centre for Chinese Herbal Medicine Drug Development, which is located in the Hong Kong Science Park. CENTRE FOR CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE DRUG DEVELOPMENT Funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) of the Hong Kong Government, the Centre for Chinese Herbal Medicine Drug Development Limited (the Centre) was established in September 2020 to accelerate the development of Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM)-based drugs and serve as a strategic platform to promote collaborations among local and international researchers, institutions and industry. The Centre aims to achieve the goal by enhancing the quality of pre-clinical and clinical CHM research and transforming the results into pharmaceutical products for international markets. In particular, the Centre develops treatments and cures for diseases such as ulcerative colitis and chronic constipation. It also supports the incubation of new CHM-based pharmaceutical start-ups that will target the global market, and nurtures talent for CHM research in Hong Kong. Senior Research Assistants in Chinese medicine research (24250237) The appointees will participate in preclinical research projects relating to cutting-edge new drug development based on Chinese herbal medicine. Responsibilities: Research and compilation of literature on classic traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions; Research on modern preparation processes and quality control criteria for classic chinese herbal formulas; Contribute to general laboratory operations, including the maintenance of cell culture and animals; Preparation and publication of research articles; and Undertake any other duties as assigned.
