Agusan del Sur State University is a public higher education institution located in Bunawan, Agusan del Sur, Philippines. It traces its origins back to 1908, when it was established as the Manobo Industrial School, before evolving through several institutional phases and becoming Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology in 1995.
Located along the Agusan Davao National Highway in a rural area of Mindanao, the university occupies a large campus that supports agricultural, technical and academic activities. Its setting reflects its long standing role in serving rural communities and supporting regional development through education and applied training.
The institution was formally established as a state college in 1995, which expanded its academic mandate and allowed it to offer a wider range of degree programmes. In 2021, it was converted into a state university and renamed Agusan del Sur State University, marking a significant step in its institutional growth.
