Afyonkarahisar Health Sciences University was established in 2018 after a split from another institution. Students can study across schools of dentistry, health sciences, medicine, nursing and pharmacy. Medical technicians are trained at three vocational schools. The university's Health Research and Application Centre, which covers a whole range of treatments with particular expertise in physiotherapy, is a 627-bed facility with 1923 staff. It includes the GETAT Centre, which looks at the uses of complementary and traditional forms of medicine. A 100-bed Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Unit is planned.

The Role and the Department This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of the University's Strategic Reporting and Business Intelligence capabilities . You will be responsible for the Institutional Business Intelligence programme of work - leading the delivery of the key strategic analytical outputs related to the University's strategic performance and planning imperatives. Central to this will be the ongoing development of integrated performance dashboards and continued work on the development of the University's Management Information Hub. Your work will consider further development of the data lake for key data sources across different areas, as well as delivery of strategic reporting relating to those, expanding our core strategic PowerBI dashboard provision. The postholder will have a significant role in providing insights and evidence for assessing performance and meaningful planning, including key performance indicators and competitive positioning. The postholder will also have a lead role in taking forward the University's Data Strategy, liaising with senior leaders and stakeholders in a range of areas to ensure agility and progress with implementation. You will be responsible for the BI section in the Strategy, Planning & Insight Office, leading the team to deliver significant change and improvement in our strategic reporting and analytics, data lake resources, data dashboard reporting, data governance, data quality, data literacy and culture. The Department of Computer Science is now looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Geometric Algorithms. We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join our computational geometry team through the grant entitled "Algorithms in hyperbolic geometry" funded by the Research Council of Finland. Computational geometry is the theoretical basis for all types of geometric processing of data, and it is an important and vibrant area of Theoretical Computer Science (TCS). The research will be focused on algorithms and computational complexity in Euclidean and especially non-Euclidean (e.g. hyperbolic) settings. Your role and goals Your primary goal in this position will be to do excellent research on the frontiers of geometric algorithms, both in collaboration with the team and in your existing professional network. We aim to continue publishing in the top international venues in theoretical computer science and computational geometry. In addition to research work, persons hired are expected to participate in teaching following the standard practices at the department. Your network and team You will be working closely with the Computational Geometry Group, which currently has 5 members: two PhD students, 2 postdocs, and the PI (Sándor Kisfaludi-Bak).
