Professor Ying Weng is seeking to recruit an Assistant Research Fellow in Artificial Intelligence (outsourced) to join the research project team in School of Computer Science at University of Nottingham Ningbo China. Your Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have specific responsibility for Professor Ying Weng’s research project in Artificial Intelligence. The person appointed will be expected to conduct work using approaches or methodologies and techniques appropriate to the type of research, and will be responsible for writing up their work for publication. The successful appointee will have the opportunity to use their initiative and creativity to develop research methods and extend their research portfolio. This may include opportunities to: undertake supervised research which may include planning, preparing, setting up, conducting and recording the outcome of experiments and fieldwork, developing questionnaires and conducting surveys within the framework of an agreed programme. Conduct literature and database searches and carry out analyses and/or tests and/or critical evaluations using specified and agreed techniques, approaches and/or models and document findings.. Contribute to the production of research reports and publications Prepare and present papers on research progress and outcomes to relevant groups including external bodies.. Continue to develop skills in and knowledge of research methods and techniques and contribute to the development of/or choice of techniques, models, methods, critiques and approaches. Communicate information and ideas to other staff and advise and assist other staff within area of expertise. Build relationships with internal and external contacts to develop knowledge and understanding and form relationships for future collaborations. Work in conjunction with others in the research team, achieve objectives and deadlines of the research project. Participate in training and staff development events, as trainer or trainee, as appropriate. Maintain appropriate professional development, expertise and awareness. Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be required. About You: Essential: Degree in relevant subject area. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clarity on complex information. Developing research skills. Ability to contribute to method improvement. Analytical ability to facilitate conceptual thinking, innovation and creativity. Ability to build relationships and collaborate with others, internally and externally. Evidence of sufficient breadth or depth of research methodologies and techniques to work in research area. Desirable: Master’s Degree in relevant subject area. Demonstrates a desire to further develop skills and knowledge of research methods and techniques. In 2022, The University of Sydney commenced delivery of its four-year graduate entry Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program in two streams; a Metropolitan stream based on the University's Camperdown campus in Sydney, and a Dubbo stream based at the School of Rural Health in Dubbo. We have a position available for a part-time Marketing and Communications Officer who will undertake a range of duties to support and build marketing and communications capacity for the School of Rural Health (Dubbo/Orange).
