About the Department  The Department of Computer Science at UWA India will form an integral part of UWA’s academic community. It will offer various degrees in Computing with subjects across Computer Science, Philosophy and Statistics including software engineering, computer systems, cybersecurity, databases and data engineering, ethics and artificial intelligence, statistics, data science, and the Internet of Things. Staff will also be undertaking impactful world class research. About the opportunity As an Assistant Professor or Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at UWA India, you will contribute to high quality teaching and learning, develop and disseminate impactful research, and participate in scholarly, service and governance activities that support UWA’s academic mission.  At Assistant Professor level, you will deliver approved undergraduate and postgraduate units, contribute to curriculum enhancement, develop an emerging research profile with peer reviewed outputs, participate in research funding applications and supervise students where appropriate.  At Senior Assistant Professor level, you will make substantial contributions to curriculum and programme design, lead or co lead scholarly and research initiatives, undertake independent and collaborative research that makes original disciplinary contributions, supervise research students, contribute actively to research funding applications and mentor junior staff.  About you   Assistant Professor  A PhD in a relevant Computer Science discipline, or near completion at the time of appointment.   Demonstrated ability to undertake high-quality research with potential to publish in well-regarded international peer-reviewed journals. The research assistant will play an active role in supporting the successful delivery of the project across its full lifetime. Working closely with the Principal Investigator and the wider project team, the successful candidate will contribute to the coordination of project activities, the preparation of research and dissemination outputs, and the management of day-to-day administrative and reporting tasks. The role requires a proactive, organised, and detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, internationally focused research environment. The candidate will liaise regularly with consortium partners across the EU and Armenia, support the organisation of project events and meetings, and contribute to ensuring that all project milestones, deliverables, and funder obligations are met on time and to a high standard. Job Description FACULTY OF ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES ACADEMY OF GEOGRAPHY, SOCIOLOGY AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in Government and International Studies (25260816) The Academy invites applications from high-calibre candidates for the above positions in the discipline of Government and International Studies (GIS), which has particular strengths in the study of politics and international relations in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. The appointee is expected to strengthen the Academy’s research profile and contribute to teaching in one or more of the following areas: International Relations European Government and Politics Public Policy (especially technology, or well-being, related) Applicants should hold a relevant doctoral degree and demonstrate an excellent record of research and publication, commensurate with the rank applied for. An ability to contribute to French language teaching or to bring expertise in advanced quantitative and computational methods would be a strong advantage. Candidates for Professor and Associate Professor should also show a clear track record of success in competitive grant applications and evidence of research leadership.
