We are seeking an experienced curriculum leader to join us as Assistant Principal – Service Sectors. About the Role Reporting to the FE Deputy Principal, the Assistant Principal will provide strategic and operational leadership across UCB’s Service Sector curriculum areas while also holding cross-college responsibility for the strategic development and performance of the Adult Skills offer. Job Description SCHOOL OF CHINESE MEDICINE Research Assistant Professor (25260263) Applications are invited for the following posts in the Research Centre for Herb Polysaccharides and Intestinal Immunology, which is in the HKBU school of Chinese medicine: Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is establishing the Research Centre for Herb Polysaccharides and Intestinal Immunology, aimed at exploring the medicinal potential of herb polysaccharides and their applications in promoting health. We invite passionate individuals with relevant backgrounds to join our team and collaborate in advancing research and application of herb polysaccharides. Responsibilities: Participate in research on the chemistry, intestinal immunology, and mechanisms of action of herb polysaccharides; Conduct research and development on new drugs and oral vaccines, exploring the potential of lymph-targeted therapies; Collaborate closely with industry and academic partners to translate research findings into practical applications; and Write research papers, reports, and grant applications. Requirements: A Ph.D. degree in Biology, Pharmacy, Immunology, Natural Medicinal Chemistry or related fields; Research experience in one of the areas including immunology, gut microbiome, cell biology, and/or molecular biology is desirable; Strong laboratory skills and research capabilities, with the ability to conduct independent experiments; and Team-oriented, with excellent communication skills and proficiency in English writing. The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of up to three years. The salary offered is highly competitive. Appropriate research experience, including working with industry, for the corresponding academic position level.
